Em 2005, construímos nove chalés no meio da mata de araucárias, localizado a 3,5km do Centro de Gramado, onde ficava o sítio do nosso avô! As crianças adoram brincar com os animais soltos, curtir a pesca esportiva e andar a cavalo! Os adultos descansam ao som das águas e do cantar dos pássaros. Ah, o seu pet de pequeno porte também é bem-vindo para se hospedar conosco!

Reviewed By DMSC10Chale had a great size for a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 toddlers. THe room was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated with a rustic feel. The surrounding areas are fantastic, the view, the nature and animals it was so peaceful, beatiful...the kids loved feeding the animals. The staff is very helpful anf polite. I only have good things to say about this place. One small thing that could improve was a little bit more of water pressure in the shower would be nice, but other than that everything was perfect and I would recommend this place to a friend.

Reviewed By Poly_RafaThe hotel is located in a beautiful area, you can stay there just looking the araucarias trees, so peaceful. They have a nice playground and a small toy's room for the kids. You can also ask for a horse or pony riding (there is an extra fee for that, R$17 for 30 minutes), my kid loved that, lovely animals! The front desk is lovely, always helpful and concerned about out staying. The breakfast is "from the gods", hahahahahha! A loooot of options of breads, cakes,... The houses have a small living room, a bedroom, a bathroom, and private parking. Houses on the right are closer to the road. The road is not so close and the city is quiet, but you can hear sone traffic. Great hot shower, comfortable bed, and an efficient heat system (but noisy...). I think they should improve in some ways: there is no cable TV and wifi signal is poor. They also should make the living room more comfortable (there is an uncomfortable sofa and a small TV, together with a single bed, table, and two chairs - too much for such a small room). They used to have a restaurant in the hotel, but nowadays it is closed, they just rent the space for events.

Reviewed By Tracy109We stayed at this pousada for two nights/three days. The hosts are extremely friendly and offer tips/suggestions for activities. They take great care to provide breakfast and everything a guest needs. Our room had a fireplace, which we were delighted to use. The property is well maintained and provides a calm and beautiful space. The landscape is quite charming and the owners do a wonderful job taking care of the property. It seems that any reviews with less than five stars were given prior to the current ownership, as everything is clean and furnished well. We had a lovely stay here and would recommend this spot to anyone visiting Canela.

Great stay in a beautiful location
Reviewed By thomasjQ3313VYI have just made my second trip to Sao Francisco de Mata, and stayed again at Pousada Recanto da Mata. As expected, Roberto was very welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. I am a keen birdwatcher, and Roberto is an expert on the birds of the area. He took me out to visit some great birding sites nearby (this is one of the most famous birding areas in southern Brazil). The posada is set in a patch of excellent forest with trails and there is plenty of wildlife to see around the chalets. Roberto also puts out fruits to attract in the birds and mammals. It was cold weather, but the room had a fire (which I didn't need to use) and electric blanket (which was very welcome), so I was always very comfortable. I had a great breakfast in the morning at the Pousada, and visited a good restaurant nearby. I have already booked my next visit for a few weeks time, and I will certainly be staying here again. Highly recommended.

Reviewed By ANton1953Arriving Thursday night and leaving Sunday morning, we had a great time. For a romantic stay an ideal place for those who like the silence and country side. You need a car though to visit Gramada and Sierra Gaucha. But you can as well enjoy the infrastructure of the hotel without leaving the place. Breakfast is top - everything is fresh, service very personal from A to Z.
