Our guide for the visit was Wouter and he is a fantastic person to be leading the tour. Both knowledgeable and articulate, Wouter was interesting to listen to from the time we met him in the city centre to the time of dispersing at the end. We thoroughly recommend the tour itself. It is harrowing and a reminder of the horrors that occurred there, but also stands as a living representation of something that should never be repeated. Any short visit to Berlin should include this tour. We were in Berlin before the Covid issues started, so have no comment regarding the adherence to guidelines associated with it.

Our virtual tour was spectacular. This was easy to book. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, well organized and took the time to answer all our questions. She allowed us to take the time to observe the memorials and process it. There is nothing like experiencing a tour in person; however, our guide made the experience feel as though we were there. I highly recommend this alternative way of touring during these limited travel times.

For more than 25 years we have been showing important, hidden, and forgotten Third Reich and World War Two sights to guests from all over the world. This tour offers you a unique opportunity to see the heart of the German capital during its most tragic and regrettable moments. With the use of your private air-conditioned vehicle we will be able to take you to sights that many guests don't get to see: from the Olympic Stadium in the West of the city to the Soviet War Memorial in the heart of Berlin's largest park, the Tiergarten. We will show you the Reichstag, where Hitler came to power in 1933, and the site of the bunker, where he took his own life in 1945, just as WWII was coming to an end. Throughout the day you will see memorials for several different victim groups of the Nazi regime, including homosexual, mentally and physically disabled, Jewish, and Sinti and Roma victims, amongst others. At the end of the tour your driver will bring you back to the port of Warnemünde.

10. Private Shore Excursion: Cold War and East Berlin from Warnemünde

Original Berlin Walks

The Berlin Wall, Kruschev & Kennedy, the Airlift, spies, escapes and “the end of history” – it’s fair to say that Berlin defined the Cold War. In air-conditioned comfort, in your luxury German car, you'll be taken from West to East across the German capital, criss-crossing where the Berlin Wall once stood, to get the closest possible look at what life was like back when Berlin was the centre of the Cold War. From famous sights like the Brandenburg Gate and Checkpoint Charlie, to lesser-known memorials and stories that you would never find on your own, this tour is far and away the best way to get to know Cold War Berlin.
