10 Private Tours in Oranjestad That You Shouldn't Miss

March 4, 2022 Velvet Champine

Boutiques, upscale chain stores and street vendors, as wells as casinos and a wide range of restaurants, dance clubs and bars, make Oranjestad a popular destination in Aruba. In addition to shopping, dining and entertainment, the island's capital city offers museums, a butterfly farm, art galleries, golf, historical sites and a marina. The island's colonization by the Netherlands shows in Oranjestad's Dutch colonial architecture, while the buildings' bright colors are distinctly Caribbean.

Absolutely exceptional! Rachel provides personalized, professional service, more than just sliding a contract on the table... recommended a remote restaurant for a birthday celebration, which was outstanding. And when we returned, she had a customized, embossed coffee cup for our birthday celebrant which she claimed the best gift she had gotten in Aruba! Safety is of course number one, the vehicles are reliable, worked well, all twelve of us had a wonderful experience! And the navigation system is brilliant. I changed the proposed itinerary four or five times and handled it all right on my cell phone (hint, bring a charge cord and use it from the first moment you start using the app). This team is VERY easy to work with, I look forward to going there again.

Captain Juan and Mate Gregory were phenomenal on our trip. Caught and hooked good amount of fish on our trip out. Would definitely recommend anyone who wants to give Aruba gamefish a shot to go see Carlas charter. Also recommend taking dramamine before your trip that Aruba water can be a bit choppy at times. Otherwise you can’t pass up this charter for your trip 10/10

Our first full day on Aruba and we spent the day exploring the island from top to bottom with ABC Tours. It is the best way to see all of the “must-see” places Aruba has to offer and you won’t be disappointed! Our tour guide Uncle Johnny was amazing. He was very informative at each stop and we had plenty of time to explore and enjoy. We also can’t say enough good things about our drivers, Tony and Wally. They kept us entertained and were a lot of fun. We definitely recommend this tour!

Single mom traveling with a 2yo here - these guys were amazing. I attempted to book a family friendly snorkel tour and somehow ended up on a booze cruise with the only kid on the boat. The crew took it in stride and made sure both of us had a great time. The helped getting her in and out of the boat, filled her snorkel raft (it has a window so she can ride on it and see the reef) and RJ even carried her on what was an unexpectedly long walk from the parking lot to the boat. At one point when the twenty somethings were having a blast and my daughter was curled in my lap, the captain even offered to turn down the music for us. There was no need (she'll sleep through anything) but I greatly appreciated the gesture. 100% would recommend them for families, groups of friends, birthdays - whatever brings you to Aruba pay RJ and the crew at Around Aruba tours a visit. You won't be disappointed.

We had the pleasure of taking a private enclosed Jeep with AC tour this past Monday while vacationing in Aruba. We elected this option because we rather not inhale dirt and possibly hurt ourselves while navigating the rocky and dusty terrain of the east side of this beautiful island. For us it was perfect! Vale was our guide. He was amazing! He picked us up at our hotel in the low rise section and we discussed what we did and didn’t want to do. He made excellent suggestions and we were on our way. He followed COVID protocols and provided pleasant conversation, explained the history of each site and this amazing “one happy island”. He was an excellent driver and took it slow over the rocky and off road terrain. He took pictures for us and provided cold waters and soft drinks but most of all AC and a dirt free ride while taking us directly to the sites. We visited the California lighthouse and Alto vista chapel for quick photo opportunities, then off to the mini natural bridge and main natural bridge which is now collapsed. However, there is a great photo opportunity at another one right next to it. We then stopped at Bushiribana Gold Mill Ruins followed by Andicuri Beach. I believe there was a mini natural pool there or along the way. We elected not to go to Arikok national park to see the bigger natural pool because it would’ve taken at least another 1.5-2hrs plus we had experienced similar places in Hawaii. We also stopped briefly at Wariruri Bay for more pics. We ended at Ayo and Casibari Rock Formations which my wife and I surprisingly enjoyed. I think the history and fun “animal” guessing game for the rock formations Vale came up with helped! We even saw wild goats. Vale then drove us back to our hotel and we sadly said goodbye. I highly recommend this tour to get away for a few hours of lying on the beach chairs to see this beautiful other side of the island. Request Vale as your guide and he won’t disappoint! Thank you again Vale!
