We crossed Chittenden bridge across the Yellowstone river; stopping first at Uncle Toms to view the smaller upper Falls, then on to Artist Point to view the MAGNIFICENT lower falls and the unbelievable colors of the canyon. It is IMPOSSIBLE to describe the majesty of this waterfall and canyon colors, so we will not even try,

Schwabacher Landing

Reviewed By 0617merS - Columbus, United States

via google maps, you can easily find this place, and there's a parking lot and an outhouse there. What makes this spot picture perfect is when the sun rises, it hits the Teton's and just lights them up. We were there on a cloudless morning, so we didn't see much color variation BUT there was plenty of snow on the Tetons when we were there and the sun shining on them from it's rise was just beautiful...as the day goes on, you won't get that sunlight...So this would only be an early morning stop for me. Ok, here's what I suggest doing. About a 1/2 mile down the path is the "picturesque" spot where the evergreens naturally frame Grand Teton and at sunrise, the river is still and when the sun rises you get that beautiful reflection on Grand Teton on the still river...a great view, there's benches there, it's pretty obvious where it is. HOWEVER we were there at low season and there were still like 6 photographers and their tripods and equipment fighting for space to get the shot. SO, what we did was downloaded the ALL TRAILS app and there's specifically a schwabacher's landing trail. Following it ALL THE WAY to the end. About a mile from the parking lot the trail forks to either a well trafficked trail going up (right) and a horse thin not so trafficked trail going left...take the LEFT, not so trafficked trail, you'll end up crossing a little stream and then it opens up to about a 30 foot dry river bed and you'll be totally lost without the app trail, keep going across the river bed, through the tree line on the opposite side and it opens up on the river's bend to a much grander view of ALL the Teton's, not just Grand Teton, you'll have that huge space to yourself, I'd set up a timelapse go pro and just enjoy the sunrise from there and get some shots with your iphone or other camera, this sunrise is so great that any camera would make brilliant photos. and then on your way back, the photographers will of already gotten their shots and left from the evergreen framed spot and you'll get your shot there too. We also went on from there to Mormon Row (less than a 10 min drive) and the sun was still at a great angle to get great shots of the Mormon Barn. All together you have about 1.5 hrs of good sunrise light to get great shots of both Schwabachers and Mormon Barn...if you're early birds :)

Adobe Town

Reviewed By mmikko - Joensuu, Finland

Well worth to visit, so quiet and just great views. Quite hard to get, roads are rough. The roads are very bas condition. Gravel roads, or paths, lot of pot holes, path is badly rutted. Drivable by 4x4 and enough clearance. If roads are dry it is possible get through, but if they are mud it will be difficult. Take enough time and get out at day light - so you can see hazards at road. Easies way to drive is from I-80. On I-80 take the Bitter Creek Exit (Exit 142) and follow County Road 19 (S) south, road turns to gravel, bearing left at the junction with County Road 24. Around 27 miles from I-80 pass the Eversole Ranch. Bear left at a minor junction at the Eversole Ranch. 1.8 miles south of the ranch CR-19 bears right. Here, bear left and leave CR-19 on a wide, well-graded, and unnamed BLM road (BLM 4412 on some maps). 3.4 miles on reach an unsigned T Junction. Staying straight will take you towards the Skull Creek Rim Access Road and eventually Colorado. Take a left for the Adobe Creek Rim.

World's Largest Intermittent Spring

Reviewed By Ilmfi1655

If you like to hike, this is a 3/4 mile rocky trail with a slow incline that is breathtaking along a creek. The spring only intemitts in the late fall depening on the water levels. A four to five mile drive on a narrow dirt road to get to it. Have good tires or a jack and an extra tire in the trunk. Not to be missed, ecpecially in the fall.

Tower Trail

Having seen many, many pictures of this site online and having most people say, "Oh, yeah, you mean that place in Close Encounters?" we traveled to Devils Tower not sure what to expect. We now firmly believe that a picture of Devils Tower should appear in the definition of awesome in the dictionary. No picture does it justice. From the towering columns and the frightening boulder field to the soaring eagles and the struggling climbers, every foot of the trail is awe-inspiring. The trail is fairly easy and has many benches along the route. Does and their babies snack cautiously nearby on the bushes alongside the trail, much closer than can imagine. We encourage you to sit on one of the benches and just take in the imposing and magnificent presence of this monument.

The Historic Sheridan Inn

Constructed in 1892, the Historic Sheridan Inn gave adventurous travelers a taste of Eastern luxury in the West. Through the years, the Inn has remained a hub of activity, offering elegant New Year's Eve balls and the town's first electric lights. Buffalo Bill Cody sat on the front porch of the Inn auditioning acts to join the "Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show." The Inn is on the National Register of Historic Places. In October 2013, Bob and Dana Townsend became the newest owners of the Inn, bringing 21st century luxury to the 19th century building. The Inn is now open for overnight stays, banquets, weddings, business meetings and tours.

The Merci Train

This train was a gift from the French in appreciation for the American Friendship Train that supplied food to the French during World War II. On its "thank you" tour, the Merci Train deposited a boxcar full of presents at each state capital.
