This was busy day and night. Lots of restaurants with outdoor seating. Very pretty and ornate buildings so don't forget to look up at them!

Architecture and its furnishings - two organs, magnificent altar, magnificent pulpit, remarkable glass windows, etc. - it is rightly a wonderful landmark of the city of Linz. As it is sizewise the largest Gothic church in Austria, even bigger than the Stephansdom in Vienna, a definite must see. And take a while to enjoy the magnitude.

If you want to explore Linz, you have to start with the Postlingbergbahn. On Saturday it was a lot of visitors and the train was 120% full. The ride with this train is an excellent experience. And the view on the top ot the hill is great.

You can see the white church towers from afar. This year we visited with a bus tour, we parked in a parking lot below the church, free toilets there, walked up a steep hill to enjoy the stunning interior, the park around and of course the amazing view of Linz and the Danube from the viewing terrace.

Hohenrausch 2021

The Linzer Hohenrausch Museum is great fun for children, families and adults. The art and technology displays are engaging. However, the real fun is the tower, outdoor beach area, rooftop garden and children play maze. All of these are designed above the museum roof structure. GREAT views across the city. I would skip climbing up church steeples and just go here for a view. PS - on sunny days children (and maybe some adults ) can cool off with bathing suits at the rooftop water sprinkler area.
