Jutland's cultural heart, Århus is an exuberant university town with a perfectly preserved old town and a recreated historic village, Den Gamle By. The top draw is the Moesgard Museum of Prehistory, showcasing exhibits from the Stone Age to Viking days and home to the city's most famous citizen, the 2000-year-old Grauballe Man. It's a lively spot, teeming with cafes, restaurants, clubs and cinemas. Denmark's second-largest city perches on Jutland's eastern coast amid beaches and woodland.

Surfer vibes in a great atmosphere in Aarhus. We attended the Stand Up Paddle (SUP) intro course with instructor and owner Michael, and it was a fantastic experience. Everybody there were kind and professional and Surf Agency's classes are highly recommended to anybody curious about SUP. We enjoyed the day immensely and will definitely be back again.

I love this place. Cinema is very small and cozy and you can have a glass of vine or some hot beverages with you.

This is a great place for a different shopping experience. There are lots of interesting boutiques and you don’t have to settle for your average chain stores. Make sure to stop for a coffee or drinks at some of the nice places in the neighbourhood.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - Whether you want to visit the amazing playground with your children, read newspapers, magazines or books, visit the café or simply enjoy the views across the harbour seated indoors or outside - there's always something new to experience in DOKK1, Aarhus' main library, citizens' services - and a whole lot more. Many students meet up to study in the spacious building, and also mothers' and fathers' groups meet up here with their babies on a regular basis. Before you visit, it's well worth checking out the programme (also partly in English).

We had a guided tour in the townhall saturday. Most impressive interior, architecture and history. We also visited the belltower, when the bells started chiming! The guide was very knowledgeable with histories about the design, construction etc.
