October 19, 2021 Marissa Gamble

Originally founded as a Roman city and now home to three UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Seville is bursting with antique charm. The Alcazar palace complex is a stunning collage of architectural styles, and the Cathedral will impress you with its beauty and its status as the burial site of Christopher Columbus. The Metropol Parasol is the world’s largest wooden structure, a massive mix of grids and swirls that contains a market and a terrace observatory.

Flamenco Esencia

Flamenco Esencia (former T de Teisna) is alongside the river guadalquivir. Flamenco Esencia is a project by flamenco artists themselves, who want to bring authentic and spontaneous flamenco to the public. The kind that you hope to see on the streets yet only exists in gypsy houses. Part of the venue is closes of with curtains, to create a living-room like space, where about 20 people fit in. Our internationally renowned artists will perform, and during the show/encounter explain some things about the art and its history. You can ask questions too, the artists are all very esasy to talk too. If you would like to have some tapas, that is possible before and after the show, since it is too small to put tables in, and we really want to create an atmosphere where everybody is experiencing flamenco to the fullest. We always open wednesdays till sundays but if you are with a group of at least 6, we can open at any day and any time for you. Just get in touch by email of phone.

Two dancers, one singer and one guitarist, all of them amazing.. What a special evening this was. Thank you all!

Our Free Tour guide Maria recommended the CasaLa Teatro as a taste of authentic Flamenco and was kind enough to book us tickets ( which we paid for on the door ) It is in the Triana district of Sevile close to the bridge but tucked away in an indoor market..The theatre holds 28 people so it is an intimate experience. My first experience of Flamenco apart from a few holiday experiences in Minorca , so I was not sure what to expect. Nothing short of amazing is the answer.A singer dancer and guitarist deliver a powerful and emotion charged experience which is wonderful story tellingOur highlight of our stay without doubt. I was lucky enough to meet them afterwards ,although I was lost for words ( English and Spanish ).What could I say but.....Gracious.....

Sala Fabiola

Flamenco space to feel the main flamenco styles through various artists who are tanned in an art that transmits passion thanks to the strength of the guitar, dance and singing. The intimacy of the room, with a maximum of 32 people, has the essence of this universal culture to reach the heart of the spectator.

This flamenco show is set in a small room which adds to the atmosphere of the performance. The guitarist was so talented and the dancer was amazing in how quickly she could move her feet, and the control over quieter or louder steps. The passion of the event was palpable through the guitarist, singer and dancer. We would definitely recommend finding this brilliant flamenco show on Calle Fabiola, amongst the lovely little streets of Santa Cruz, Seville. The lady on the door who sold the tickets was also very welcoming and enthusiastic .
