Trees Adventure - Glen Harrow Park

Reviewed By B8950HQjenniferd - Quito, Ecuador

This is a beautifully laid out tree climbing/ high wire adventure course. I visited with 4 children aged 8-13 and they had a blast. The courses radiate out from a central, massive oak tree and include 4 different difficulty levels (green, blue, red and black)and two course lengths (short and long) and include zip lines for every level or course. The instructors are helpful, friendly, and reassuring. The carabiner system used is very secure and once you get into it becomes second nature. Basically there is no way to totally unclip yourself from the wires once you are clipped on so very safe. The setting is gorgeous: an established leafy hillside in the dandenongs just adjacent Puffing Billy station, but with very little outside noise. It feels a bit like Lothlorien! The two hour slots are probably not enough to do all the courses, so if you really want to challenge yourself go for four. Also BOOK WELL IN ADVANCE- we tried to book in the school holidays and had only a 9am slot on Sunday available, and with a hour drive from Brunswick that was an early start for a Sunday!

Maya Ward

I live by the Yarra in Warburton and adore this place. Walking the length of the Yarra River, along the ancient Wurundjeri Songline, was the most amazing experience of my life, for all sorts of surprising reasons. I've told the story of my walk to thousands of people and every time I feel a thrill of excitement and gratitude for the opportunity to share tales of this beautiful river and its profound history. I share readings from my popular book about the journey, The Comfort of Water.

O'Shannassy Trail

Reviewed By U6573UWannet - Moruya, Australia

Well worth the climb and the down hill is great. I did this ride on the return cycle from Lilydale to Warburton, total 90ks. Amazing scenery, I’d class this as an easy ride, the only step part is the climb to the Aqueduct section. Highly recommend to future cyclists...
