Tubing the Grand

Doing the Grand River Has Never Been Easier! No paddling skill or experience required...just a need for NO speed. Nice n Easy does it as you float down the Grand, enjoy the scenery, the wildlife, and the sunshine! There are no serious rapids, just a few little riffles here and there, so it's safe for all. IT'S EASY! We shuttle you and the tube upriver. You float back down to us and your car.

My husband and I did the ‘tubing the grand’ tour yesterday. It was the first time we had ever done anything like this so we didn’t know what to expect. Well I have to say, it was the best time ever! The weather was perfect and the river was beautiful! The tubes were extremely comfortable and easy to get in and out of, and the lazy ride down the river was exactly what we needed! We saw eagles perched in trees and flying above us, we heard birds chirping, and we saw fish jumping. The staff was so helpful and friendly at both ends of the tour, helping you get in and out of your tube. It’s hard to believe how beautiful the grand river is when you’re leisurely floating along and taking in the beauty. I took my phone in a waterproof phone bag, and I took over 70 pictures! Several times, my husband and I both looked at each other saying “can you believe this! This is so peaceful!” We highly recommend trying this out! We’ve already made plans to do this with our grown kids and make a day of it! I recommend sunscreen, a hat, and water shoes. We wore bathing suits as well, because you do get wet, which is totally refreshing! The paid cab ride back to our car is a great perk as well. These guys thought of everything to make our adventure easy and worry free.

L1FE Outdoors Rentals

L1FE Outdoors rents ATV's, 2-UP's, and Side x Side's for those ready to see Ontario's amazing backcountry. Ontario has some of the best trail systems in the world. Pick-up and trailer our machines to the destination of your choice, or we also offer delivery services and Park & Ride locations. We love to encourage and help people enjoy L1FE Outdoors!

Reviewed By burr6013 - Mississauga, Canada

L1FE Outdoors (L1FE) is a Southwestern Ontario enterprise that rents all-terrain vehicles, two-person all-terrain vehicles, and utility terrain vehicles to people looking to experience the joys of off-roading. Owned and operated by quadding enthusiast Mac Foy, it also sells all-terrain vehicles and related accessories. Neat! We rented a HiSUN Tactic 550 2-UP from L1FE over the Thanksgiving long weekend to ride the 60 kilometres of Simcoe County bush trails built by the Central Ontario ATV Club. We paid $350 for a single day of riding and had a great time (payment was taken in installments leading up to the rental). We were able to quickly and easily book the vehicle online and, for an additional fee ($100), arrange to have it dropped off and picked up at times and locations of our choosing (trailers and ramps are also available to rent from L1FE for those who want to manage the pick-up and drop-off themselves). Everything about the quad worked as expected. Fun Fact: L1fe machines are swapped out every two years to ensure safety and to keep the fleet current and up to date. Each rental also comes complete with trail passes, a tire repair kit, a tow rope, and free helmet and goggle rentals. Awesome! Look for L1FE at 270 Hamilton Road in New Hamburg. It is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 in the morning (9:00 in the morning on Saturdays) until 7:00 in the evening (4:00 in the afternoon on Tuesdays and Fridays and 1:00 in the afternoon on Saturdays). Brands carried include Dalton, Gator Waders, SuperATV, High Lifter, Hisun, L1 Moto, AMSOIL, HMF, Motul, Quadrax Utility, Shot Race Gear, Silverback, STI, and Zox. Cool! One must be 19 years of age or older to operate a machine and show proof of a valid driver’s license. All renters are required to sign a waiver and rental contract prior to operating. Renters are fully responsible for any damage outside of normal wear and tear (a damage deposit of $1,500 is taken per machine in the form of a credit card hold). Machines must be retuned clean and full of fuel. We were very pleased with our rental experience and will most certainly rent from L1FE again in the future.

The course has always been in great shape. It's a challenging course and if you like beautiful scenery it has lots of that. The only thing better than the course is the staff; friendly and helpful.
