We've rented snowmobiles from The Toy Shop both this year and last, and the experience was perfect both times. The emails detailing the necessary paperwork before we arrived were easily understood and more importantly, the sleds were in terrific shape and ran flawlessly. I would strongly encourage anyone interested in renting snowmobiles to use The Toy Shop.

The people working there are great. We were not allowed to got out our first morning there due to weather and they couldn’t be more apologetic and accommodating. As soon as there was enough snow, they contacted us and got the snowmobiles ready. Some other renters weren’t as understanding, but Track Side did the right thing by holding off to ensure safety and operability of the snowmobiles. Overall, a great experience and I plan to make this an annual trip and only use Track Side

Eagle River Golf Course

Reviewed By Cubs2015

This is a fun track with a great course layout. I play there a few times every summer when I go to our cabin. Given its location, it takes longer for the course to green up compared to those in warmer climates, which may be why some reviewers have given lower ratings. Not much the folks running the course could do. But, the greens and fairways are usually in fantastic shape by mid-June, and the course is always well-maintained when i am up there. Each hole looks different and provides different challenges. It is not that long (about 6,200 yards from the tips) with relatively short par 3s. But, with doglegs and elevation changes, it feels and plays longer. I never get tired of playing this course. The sloped greens are not country club slick (not a bad thing), but well maintained and can be tricky with contours and slopes. Balls roll true. The practice range (grass and mats) is more than adequate for a public course. The well-maintained putting green is a good indicator of the greens on the course. I didn't see a practice bunker, but I normally don't look for one when I play away from my home course. The course has far more elevation changes than most Chicago or Milwaukee-area parkland courses. Yet, it is a very walkable course for those who like to walk as I do. The club pro, Howard Manske, and his staff are friendly and efficient. The online reservation feature is relatively new and works very well. Overall, it is a little known (outside the Eagle River area) gem of a public golf course at a price that one doesn't find in larger cities.
