Zoo De La Barben

Reviewed By patrickf632 - Cardiff, United Kingdom

Many of our group had mixed feelings about zoos before going here.. how fair is it to the the animals? Are they cared for properly.. We visited la barben with these concerns in mind.. Im happy to say that on visiting our concerns were allayed.. We visited in july 2018.. the zoo is clean and tidy.. all of the animals looked well and well cared for.. all of the enclosures were large.and varied with plenty for the animals to see and look at.. the enclosures are also well designed to let us have a really good look at the magnificent animals.. lots of focus here on conservation and education.. When we visited it wasnt too busy and a nice feature was that there are lots of trees and shade and loads of seating areas.. good cafe facilities.. toilets really clean and tidy.. Overall highly reccomended for all family.. One final tip.. the stairs marked on the map are both steep, long and a little slippery .. be warned if you are infirm or have any disabilities etc

Plage de Piemanson

Reviewed By 18philippeb - Toulouse, France

If you want to enjoy a couple of hours on a wild beach that’s the place to go. When you’ll reach the parking lot, don’t be afraid by the number of cars. The beach is so long that you’ll find a place with no one in a 50 meters radius, provided you walk for 10 minutes. Before reaching the place do not forget to stop to have look at birds (pink flamingos but also many other species) or on the salted marshes and their water colored in pink.
