10 Nightlife in Florence That You Shouldn't Miss

July 13, 2021 Venice Greaves

Florence is an art historian’s dream. The Galleria dell'Accademia bursts with works by Michelangelo, who is entombed within the frescoed walls of the Basilica di Santa Croce. Budding photographers can snap pics of the Ponte Vecchio bridge, and serious shoppers can spend a blissful afternoon wandering the shops of Piazza Santo Spirito. Tuscan cuisine pays homage to the region’s bounty. Swipe a hunk of crusty bread across a pool of local olive oil and you’ll be instantly transported to your happiest place.

This was a stop on a Foodies for Florence tour. Yvonne was so knowledgeable about the oils and vinegars! We tasted many things (spreads, wine, oils, vinegars...) in their cool tasting room. The shop has many food items and the history of the building impressed us. Yvonne and Stefano are definitely part of the charm in this shop.

The Arts Inn

Cocktail bar inside an art gallery. Local and organic wines, signature and classic cocktails, fantastic hand-picked music selection, relaxing ambiance. Artwork for sale.

Highly recommended. Artwork & the easy listening background music (likes of Sinatra, Armstrong) makes it a great place for a late night drink. Bar tender Paulo was friendly, knowledgeable & made us great gin & tonics eg G Vine. Nice touch were the range of the free self service bar snacks.

The Red Garter

A piece of Florentine history and one of the first American bars of its kind in Italy. Evenings dedicated to karaoke, live music and the dj-set, not to mention the excellent choice of beers and the delicious cocktails. The steakhouse is open until late at night and also offers many Tuscan specialities. International live sport, special events… all included in the free entrance. A must for anyone who wants to get to know Florence.

We've been here 3 times in a week, awesome American bar food, beer, and college and NFL games. Also made it for NYE and the steak was fantastic. Cool staff, nice people, and just fun times.

Trip per Tre

Stopped in for drinks before dinner on a saturday. They have harp and guiness on tap and a selection of bottled beers like bud, peroni, becks, etc. Pints are 6 euro (5.50 during happy hour) they also sell half pints. This is a rock n roll bar that also serves food. They had bar snacks for happy hour laid out for free with some little bite size pizzas. Not sure if they do this regularly or not but the snacks really hit the spot. They have a cocktail menu also, but this is not a craft bar. They have a decent selection of mid tier liquors and mixers. I really enjoyed the atmosphere here and will be going back soon.
