The Candle Lab

My adult son took me as a Christmas gift. This was fun, interactive, creative and well organized. I plan to return and bring others to enjoy it. My husband came along and was reluctant to participate but he even enjoyed smelling all the scents.

Society Hill

A treasure of a red-brick neighborhood.

Reviewed By 27claudettec - Washington, United States

My sister and I spent three days in Philadelphia and this was one of our favorite things. The neighborhood is a step back in time with old row houses, old churches and cemeteries. The old row houses have the original plaques of the company who provided fire insurance including some from the Ben Franklin company. There are two old cemeteries that have graves of people who fought in revolutionary war and other pivotal figures in our history.

Strip District

Located on a narrow strip of land in a flood plain, scenic neighborhood features historic points of interest such as Senator John Heinz Regional History Center and Pennsylvania Railroad Fruit Auction Building.

Reviewed By JamesDR1117 - Fayetteville, United States

Went to the Strip District again on a family weekend outing. I live the multicultural shops and restaurants. Lots of great things to do, buy, taste and see. Good prices in the shops. Gotta always go the Pennsylvania Macaroni Company, Primanti Bro’s, and get a cannoli fresh from the vendors on the street near their bakery, My Sweet Lilly. The place has it all. Must see area if you live in Pittsburgh, passing through or are visiting. I’ll definitely be back.

Amish Country

Reviewed By Davidcarmytraveler - Coventry, United States

The simple life has some characteristics we could all learn from it. Learned a lot here about their tradition and German-American culture. Friendly people with good local businesses and food. It’s fun to see them riding their scooters and driving their buggies. I enjoyed the time I got to spend with them.
