Botanical Garden Of Eilat

On Monday The 20.1.20 we will open for visitors at 13:30 The nursery opens at 8:30 Welcome to The Botanical Garden of Eilat (in the organic farm) On the northern border of the town of Eilat is hidden a spectacularly beautiful garden - the botanical garden of Eilat. The garden was created on a former military outpost and is built on stone terraces in ancient Biblical style. Inside the garden there are rare plants from all over the world, a reconstructed stream, waterfalls, enchanting walking tracks, signposting, seating areas, bird sanctuaries and its crowning glory, a rain forest. The rain forest is the first of its kind in the world! A cool and refreshing experience for all the family. Does it sound like the Garden of Eden? That's just what it's like. In the Park: Plant nursery, sales centre, herbal teas and organic coffee, ice lollies and more

We had a nice walk through the gardens. There are signs describing the plants and trees. At the end we had coffee and ice cream. Recommended for a two hour visit.

The International Birding & Research Centre

Eilat is one of the most important spots for migratory birds in the world. The only overland bridge between Europe, Asia and Africa is also a bottle-neck that serves hundreds of millions of migratory birds. Moreover, these birds in Eilat, are preparing themselves for the most challenging task of crossing the foodless and hostile Saharan desert. We also offering guided tours by request.

This place is definitely worth visiting if you have some free time in Eilat. Easy to reach, completely free and nicely made. Unfortunately we did not see many birds in January but there were still some in the water searching for food so we could make some great pics. I guess the peak season is in March.

Nature at its best! There's a 30 minute challenging hike to the natural pool, but if we seniors could do it anyone can. If you're into swimming in very cold water at least bring towels :-) Don't expect to find any kiosk, cafes or restaurants anywhere near. Bring drinking water.

Crocoloco Crocodile Farm

Reviewed By Michelle_sam

This surprising place is in the middle of nowhere. A couple followed their passion to raise crocodiles, and in this way prevent their extinction. Their passion is evident. I never knew that crocodiles are so interessting. Did you know they live up to 140 years, and they never get sick? Did you know they can bite from the first moment they come out of the egg? The presentation was excellent, Ideal for families with children, or anyone who is interested in animals.
