We enjoyed our Baywatch and watched the shrimpers all through the bay catching their shrimp on their trawlers. Very peaceful and so close to the Gulf of Mexico.

Bienville Square

I have been to this park some 65 years ago and today it’s as beautiful as ever. In the heart of downtown Mobile,al. Surrounded by many of the old Mobile buildings the park still stands as restful, well groomed, and is still home to the squirrels and birds that have been here for many generations. The center of the park has a serine, antique, calming and one of a kind water fountain. I could sit here all day. Nothing has changed much since I came here as a small child with my Grandmother. Wonderful memories were made at this park. This is truly something you should see.

This was two hours of heaven walking the shaded trails, enjoying the sights and varieties of so many plants with a real emphasis on rhododendrons, azaleas and camellias. Most of these were not in bloom, but still delightful. There were a few sculptures, antique columns and a koi pond to add to the variety. The staff was friendly and incredibly helpful. Even the gift shop was unique and featured items by local artists.

The Trees are beautiful, the ground are clean. Lots of shade, play grounds, and athletic fields. We’re we’re walking the trails and 3 does ran across the trail in front of us. It was amazing to see them running in their natural environment. The grounds are secured and have a night time security guard. Also close to the city. The play grounds were closed due to COVID.
