Go here. You will understand how time shaped our world. How global warming and cooling has been around for hundreds of millions of years, Not since just 1970. Fantastic exhibit, Educational, eye opening, The exhibits are very well done, most of them with real samples of ages old rocks. If you see one sight see this one.

This stunning mountain top can be easily reached by the cogwheel train 'Rigi Bahnen' from Vitznau, a charming lakeside village accessible by ferry from the main ship station of Lucerne city. You can enjoy the scenic one-hour cruise ride which passes by several beautiful villages including Weggis, where you can take a short detour and spend a few hours strolling around the lakeside. Mount Rigi is fully covered by the Swiss pass, while Eurail passholders enjoy a 50% discount on the ticket fare... One of the most recommended and must visit places in Swiss land..

The tour of Mt Pilatus in Luzern includes an easy hike, a cable car ride, a fantastic summit hike (1 hour) with spectacular views, a ride down the steepest cogwheel train in the world (designed in 1889), and a boat ride across the lake. Wonderful, absolutely marvelous!
