We visited on a Friday lunchtime. It’s situated in a wing of the Palais de Tokyo and from the light flooded first few interior rooms you have views of the nearby Eiffel Tower, perfectly complimenting the large Robert Delaunays. We saw a Picasso head sculpture, many Dufys, superb Bonnards...including the masterpiece of Marthe in a bath. I was not keen on some of the work in other rooms...but as it’s free and there is so much good work to see you just speed up! Highly recommended.

We always visit the Guimet when in Paris for its great collection of Asian Art. This time we were lucky to be just in time for the temporary exhibition "On the Tokaido Road", an extensive collection of 200 beautiful Japanese prints by Hiroshige and many other artists depicting the myriad scenes and spectacular landscapes on this important coastal road from the Edo period. An amazing collection rarely seen all in one place.

The Palais de Chaillot is an exceptional building. From a distance it looks as if it is ready to fly with those huge wing spans ready to take off! It was built in 1937 for the Universal Exhibition and it is home to several museums and a theatre. There is also a restaurant on site. We first saw it from atop the Eiffel Tower and it was a wonderfully amazing sight.

Georges Clemenceau was a French statesman and as my husband is very interested in history we decided to visit. After a little trouble finding the entrance we were admitted to the museum. Initially we looked around his apartment with an audio guide and then went upstairs to see a modern exhibition of Clemenceau's life. he had a very interesting life with many famous friends including Claude Very worthwhile visit.

Visiting the Fondation Louis Vuiton in Paris is absolutely worth it. The building, designed by Frank Gehry is a pleasure to visit, you will be awed. The current exhibition on the life work of Charlotte Perriand is great as well. An impressive lady way ahead of her time and very actual. We visited on the first friday of the month were there arz special evening activities (included in ticket).watch during the day for micro visits by a guide lighting a few works on each floor. (No additional charge). Parking along the road in the Bois de Boulogne.
