My sister and I took a bird-watching tour with Eco Colors guide Jose Paz. It was a highlight of our trip to the Riviera Maya. Jose took us to two different areas and we saw more than 30 different species. He was an excellent guide and very knowledgeable about all the birds. He recognized them by their songs and could spot them even in the dense trees and shrubs. In the second preserve, he had also arranged a lovely lunch for us, cooked by a delightful woman over a wood fire. Jose's driver joined us and he was also a very likable fellow. It was a great experience and I highly recommend!

Erhard's professionalism was evident from first contact. He replied quickly and designed an itinerary that perfectly suited my interests. In 6 days we covered 1,000 miles and (owing to Erhard's excellent planning) had plenty of time at every destination: Chichen Itza, beautiful colonial cities, great local food, the jungle ruins at Calakmul, and much more, all expertly explained by Erhard. I cannot imagine a better traveling companion and feel that I now have a friend in Mexico. Very highly recommended!

I dealt with Pepe for the reservation piece and he was very professional. I traveled with a party of 7 family members. We decided to go with private tours to go at our own pace and have the flexibility of customizing. We took a private tour to Chichen Itza one day and a private tour to Coba and Tulum another day. Manuel was our guide and Jose was the driver and both a pleasure to have. Manuel was extremely knowledgeable.

I have traveled a lot of places and gone on a lot of tours, this was easily the best tour I've ever been on and I wish more people knew about it! I experienced and learned so much. Kayaking the Rio Hondo was absolutely magical - and being able to be so up close and personal with such beautiful ruins...it was simply unlike anything I've experienced in Mexico so far. Selene also gave great recommendations for me to spend a day in Chetumal (I was spending the week in Bacalar). It is 100% worth spending a day (or two or three) with Latitud Maya.
