Reviewed By Alan FWonderful hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Room was clean and very well equipped. Customer laundry was very handy. Location was excellent, 500 metres from Gilmore SkyTrain. Parking right outside room was very convenient. And the ducks in the room have come home with us (after their tour around North America). Finally, note that the hotel no longer offers a local shuttle service (website needs changing to remove this).

The Park Motel is 3 blocks off from the Hwy. The quietest motel in Hope! Mountain view; Flatscreen TV, DD phones, coffee/tea, hairdryer, mini-fridge, microwave, free Wi-Fi and air-conditioning PLUS kitchen suites available. We also have one second floor family room with 3 beds for up to 6 guests! Downtown is just a round the corner! Pets NOT allowed.

Reviewed By 424lanasVery noisy, the rooms need to be updated badly, the bathroom smelled like mold … the list goes on. It was possibly the worst bed I’ve ever slept on - or tried to sleep on. I wish Expedia would stop listing places like this. Honestly if it was the last room available I’d sleep in my pickup. Definitely not returning and definitely no recommending The bathtub had an old dirty rubber mat glued to the bottom so a shower was the only option….. don’t waste your hard earned money on this place.

Reviewed By c fWe were excited for our stay that would be the first night of our trip. The price was right but in the end, the hassle made us quickly regret this booking. We arrived around 12:30 am after a lot of travel and were told our room was cancelled and there were none available. The rationale was that the credit card on file was ran through at 11:40 pm and declined (although has worked fine before and after this event). But, they therefore cancelled the room and gave it to someone else for over 100$ more than we paid. No call or email, which would have rectified the situation in one minute, as we could have asked them to try the card again or given a different card. Or at the very least, we would have found somewhere to stay closer to the airport (rather than taking a sky train and an Uber to North Vancouver) if they had notified us that the room was cancelled. I had also called 3 days before our stay informing of a late check in and the gentleman insisted it would be completely fine, he did take my name but the person at check in claimed to be unaware of this. Do not recommend booking this place unless you want to end up with your booking cancelled for reasons out of your control.

The Driftwood Inn is centrally located in Sechelt, the heart of the Sunshine Coast. We are on the waterfront only a few feet away from the beach. We offer a variety of rooms including standard doubles and king rooms plus waterfront rooms and suites. Our restaurant named Pebbles serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and specializes in west coast cuisine. We also have a meeting/function room that can seat up to 55 persons. We are close to shopping, banks and many recreational activities in the region.

The fridge very noisy. Walls thin enough to listen to the neighbours talking. The room had a strong odour of many previous guests. On the plus side the rate was very reasonable at $109. per night. The new lady at the front desk was courteous.

Great little place to stay
Reviewed By 195170When looking for a place to stay overnight on our way to the Okanagan this was one of the few places available. Sceptical of staying in a motel we saw the good reviews about this one. It was perfect. Very clean and roomy. Remodelled, so even though it may be an older place it was great. Best thing for us as seniors was that all the rooms were on ground level..no stairs to navigate! Very pleasant fellow when we checked in as well. Will certainly stay there again.

When we got there we were told that they did not have our booking. I was so confused as the money had already been paid. The person at the front desk kept telling us that it was booking.coms fault but we got the confermation email from booking.com and an email from the hotel itself the day we were to stay there asking us for an e.t.a of arrival. I was not happy as we now had no place to stay and everything was booked up. We were then told by the person at the desk ,( pretty sure it was the owner) that they had vaccant rooms but they were not clean so thats why our booking was canceled. He the had the nerve to tell us that if we couldnt find anything else we could stay in their hotel and clean the room ourselves!! He even told us he would give us clean linen so we could make the bed!! And we would still have to pay!!! I have never been so discusted in my life!

Cheap but not clean
Reviewed By frugs33I was disappointed to find the room was not clean. There was a fingernail on the sink and the cabinets and kitchen items have not been cleaned in a long time. In normal times, I would forgive the dirty kitchen. It looks like nobody had used the dishes or appliances in years. They claim the check in/check out hours are reduced because they are cleaning more due to Covid 19, but our room was definitely not cleaned up to standard. The furnishings are rustic which didn't bother me. The train goes thru town frequently so bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. It was okay for a one night stay, but there are a lot of motels in Hope so I will look elsewhere next time.

Reviewed By 851dummysMy wife and I stayed at the new 401 inn last night on a business trip because of location and price, we paid in advance. Upon arrival we entered the front desk, decent in appearance, noticed the cheap coffee machine. We were assigned room# 20,OMG, The door wouldn’t open at first because water damage had caused to floor to bubble, the room smelled like 30 years of just pinesol. Upon further inspection I noticed huge repairs in the ceiling due to previous water damage, I then could smell mould, we called the front desk and got a different room without issue. When we entered the new room it was very similar, sticky floors, bad smell, previous hot and cold plus drainage pipe sticking right out of the wall. Really old tubs with bath fitters from the 80’s and mouldy caulking. The paint jobs were horrible and there are holes everywhere in the walls. The nicest feature about this other room was the mirror. I felt like I got east vanned out of a 100 bucks lol
