Great Location, Decent Facilities
Reviewed By Nathan EI stayed here for a Golden Week vacation in Spring 2012 and we enjoyed our experience. For the dormitory style, the price is extremely right (1500/night), and the location puts you within walking distance of plenty of restaurants, shops, and night life. Be aware, though, that Ishigaki is a small town by Japanese standards, and a night out isn't quite much compared to bigger cities. Beaches are also close by, with Fusaki beach only about 10 minutes by taxi. As far as facilities go, this is no K's House. Like a lot of Japanese hostels I've seen, this place is pretty much thrown together, complete with dividing walls made of thin drywall held together with screws. A resort this is not, but you probably aren't looking for one if you're reading this. Bottom line: I recommend this place. Go with dormitory, not capsule rooms. Drink plenty of Ishigaki Beer (the weissbier is fantastic). See the beaches.

Great Japanese style rooms, yummy breakfast, great kind and lovely service and beautiful Kabira bay (although note you cant swim in Kabira bay! but there are buses to near swim beach proximity) 100% recommended

This is Japanese style guest house. There is 5 rooms with Japanese style "futon". It takes about 7 min from Ishigaki Apt by car. It takes only 30 sec to the coral sea.
Great value
Reviewed By River GMidway between airport and city. Clean, new, , near main road and the sea and most of all a great host speaking English. Highly recommended esp for those just landed wanna to spend a few nights prior to explore rest of ISG.

Reviewed By TOSHIBBかなり低い評価の方がいますが、、、必ずしも全てが宿側の責任でないにしても、泊まり合わせた客が原因で印象が悪くなることもありますよね。お気の毒様です。 私はシングルに泊まりましたが、エアコンはよく効くしテレビも付いており、部屋も十分な広さで、明るく清潔感があります。トイレも共用ですがシャワートイレで、全体的に設備は整っています。当初、レンタカー屋さんの片手間と思っていたので期待していなかったのですが、スタッフの方の対応も丁寧で好感が持てました。ただし、シャワー室内の洗面台など、若干そうじが行き届いていない点があり、もう少し頑張ってもらえたらと思います。 共用スペースの夜間22時以降の騒々しさは私の時もありました。どうやら長期滞在の人たちが数名いるようで、帰宅時間が遅く食事も帰宅後にそこで摂るのが原因のようです。また共用スペースと廊下が全く仕切られておらず音や声が各部屋にダイレクトに伝わってしまう構造にも原因があるのでしょう。私の滞在時は幸い22時半くらいに解消されましたが、これが連日深夜までおよぶとすれば改善してほしいですね。おそらく宿の人は知らないのだと思います。ここを宿の方が見て何か対策をしてくれればいいのですが。

The verandah is an amazing place to stargaze (we saw shooting stars!). The place was very clean and well maintained. Would recommend! - tatami style rooms - shared bathrooms and showers - very close to Kabira bay - really good local restaurants nearby

Reviewed By Lydia HBefore arriving - be sure you know that a lot of the amenities are paid. So do bring your towel, toothbrush, etc. Unless you want to pay for extra for those. Aircon is paid (for those coming during the summer months). Host and hostess are the friendliest couple and allowed us to check in early at 12PM - the usual check in time is 3PM. They even treated us and other guests to Okinawa sake and we spent a wonderful night chatting until 12AM! (They also offer an all you can drink service of different alcoholic drinks for 500 Yen pp.) The room and entire place were extremely clean and cute! The living room is lined with shelves of manga and souvenirs. Walls of the rooms are quite thin so we could hear other guests talking at night but there is a no-noise policy after 12PM. We would definitely be back!

Reviewed By Ro-fordWe booked to stay for one night and ended up staying for five! Wonderful guesthouse with a real homely feel. We first stayed in the Japanese room which was fab, the futons super comfy and the air con very effective. Stayed in the standard twin bed room for the last two nights and it was also comfy and clean. The owner is so friendly and makes you feel very welcome as soon as you arrive. Free coffee in the morning, use f a microwave and fridge in room. Also a huge bonus was use of the washer/dryer, makes a bg difference when you're traveling for 5 months with a limited amount of clothes! One of the best places I've stayed while traveling through Asia, highly recommend! The island is paradise too!

Reviewed By easyrider000二泊させていただきました。 施設は清潔、アメニティも民宿としては十分、夕食も地域の食材を大変おいしく頂けました。 朝食にも手を抜かないところも好印象です。 オーナーご夫婦のホスピタリティ溢れる対応も含め、コストパフォーマンスは高いと感じました。 因みに白保集落ですが、（竹富島とは違い？）古い民家が生活感溢れるかたちで残っており、静かで散歩に最適です。 但し夕食を取れる店は少なく、ほとんどが19時開店。おまけに冠婚葬祭など地域の付き合いを優先する土地柄のため、不定期の休みも多く、晩飯難民となる可能性大です。まあ、それも旅の楽しみの一つと考えられる方には、再訪したくなる場所かと感じました。
