Corredores del Pacuare Lodge is an modest eco-Lodge located near the small town of Pacayitas, 3.5 hours from the airport. Come enjoy the flora and fauna of Pacayitas River Valley, from common sightings of hummingbirds and butterflies, to even some of the most exotic of Costa Rica´s beautiful animals. The trails surrounding the Lodge also offer a great place for hiking, especially when climbing the nearby mountains. Rafting, canopy and horseback riding tours can also be coordinanted by the owner for the nearby Pacuare river. Local businesses such as the Traditional Trapiche Sugar Cane factory are also within walking distance for those interested.
Great place with friendly owner
Reviewed By necox201A friend and I turned up unannounced having not made a booking. There were no other guests (quiet at the moment due to coronavirus and the owner, Gilbert, was relaxing with some of his friends near the pool). Gilbert welcomed us very warmly, leaving his friends to prepare a room for us and fetch us some cold drinks. We tried to say we were fine and we could make the beds ourselves (we didn't want to interrupt his day) but he insisted on doing it for us. We were leaving very early in the morning, but Gilbert still got up to to make breakfast for us and offered us a lift to the town a few km down the road. The hotel and room was quiet, clean and very scenic. We were walking the Camino del Costa Rica and particularly appreciated the comfy beds after several nights of camping. Thanks Gilbert for the fair price (from memory Gilbert quoted a price a little under what the online price was at the time) and being a great host.

Reviewed By Pioneer60626149369Amazing experience with awesome staff! We were super late getting out of the airport and getting our rental and they were SO understanding and waited for us. We got ready and drove straight to the beginning of our adventure of a lifetime. Rafted into our lodging. The views from the rooms were so amazing. I loved every minute of staying there. Didn’t even notice that there was no electricity or internet. It was so great to unplug for 24 hours.

Finca Tres Equis is a family farm located next to the Pacuare River, and currently evolving to become an eco-friendly and sustainable farm. This 300+ hectares property (over 800 acres) has over 70% of its surface covered in forest which has been preserved for over 20 years and this has led to the presence of an amazing variety of wildlife in the property. Currently, a couple of rooms and a small cabin are available for rent to allow tourists to visit the farm and experience the sensation of being in a pristine location with direct access to the Pacuare River for rafting, many kilometers of trails and a family farm experience. Enjoy and explore this amazing place; take a hike in the forest, a horseback riding tour, discover the wildlife that is hidden under the veil of the night with a frog watching tour or take the wonderful rafting trip in the Pacuare River.
Great lodging and great views
Reviewed By Steve ZWe loved our time at Finca Tres Equis. The glamping tent was beautiful and the view was even better. Our friends stayed in one of their cabins and that to had everything you could need. Horseback riding on their gentle horses through the coffee and cocoa farms was a great memory. The host is super and the dogs were fun to play with. Highly recommend a stay at Finca Tres Equis.

Bel endroit, mais accueil décevant
Reviewed By christelb575Nous sommes arrivées dans l'après-midi et le jeune homme à la réception ne trouvait pas notre réservation alors que nous avions la confirmation. Du coup le logement prévu ne nous a pas été donné et nous nous sommes trouvées en 2ème rangée. Nous avons demandé des infos concernant des restaurants alentour et la météo du lendemain au Volcan Irazu, on nous a répondu de regarder sur internet. Le petit-déjeuner est servi des 8h. Nous avions réservé pour le volcan à 8h mais impossible d avoir quelque chose avant. Du coup nous n avons pas mangé. La cabane est très jolie et propre mais nous avons été très déçues de l accueil, le moins bon de notre séjour.

Reviewed By sntmrdWe enjoyed a couple of nights at Finca Estacion Descansos: - The rooms are well equipped and the common areas have a great view of the landscape. - The kitchen had all the necessities: fridge, pans, big sink, coffee maker, stove, knives, big containers to put food in the fridge. - The staff was accommodating from the moment we got there and were able to assist us with whatever we needed. - There is a parking for a at least 3 cars; I would even a van can fit in there! - Internet was ok; around 2-5Mbps - There's an organic/permaculture farm just up the street "Finca La Flor", you can visit and eat great costarican food there! - The nearest town is about 10min away in case you want to go to the supermarket, farmer's market, church, park, etc.. It is a perfect place to rest and relax, either for couples or families!

Man fühlte sich ein wenig in die Familie eingebunden, das Schlafzimmer genügte unseren eher bescheidenen Ansprüchen restlos, die Besitzerin hinterließ einen sehr freundlichen Eindruck und die Lage am Rande eines Bananenhains ist ebenfalls ansprechend. Zum Dorfkern benötigt man per pedes gerade mal zehn Minuten, aber dafür logiert man im Grünen – ein Vorteil. Zur angenehmen Atmosphäre kommt ein für die Landesverhältnisse günstiger Preis – was will man mehr!
