We are situated in the centre of the Oxford village amongst the cafes and boutique shopping for which Oxford has become very popular. Our new motel has twelve units of which there are six studios, 3 two bedrooms and three 1 bedroom units that offer a range of accommodation from an affordable studio to our executive one bedroom king spa bath units, families are well catered for in our two bedroom units.

Reviewed By GayleNoelHubby and I are at the end of a 3 month road trip and have spent 11 weeks in the south island staying in motels. This one has to be the best. Very, very clean, hob plus oven!! Has the most cooking pots pans etc that we have had anywhere. Air con/ heater. Across road from supermarket. What more could you want. Certainly lovely to stay in. Pity we were only here for one night.

Reviewed By Pnuttz818We originally booked in for 2 nights, now we knew check in was before 8pm and we were running excessively late so rung ahead to see what the go would be expecting to be told nothing could be done. Lewis the awesome human you'll see he is, opened our room turned the heater on and left the key out for us. Arriving at 3am on a bloody chilly night and being greated by the warmth that was our apartment room was nothing short of heaven. Our original 2 nights turned into another and then another and then another, without a worry Lewis rebooked us each one of those nights even though the complex was full and we were sure we'd be told exactly that. Our room was clean spacious and completely comfortable. We were offered new amenities every day and a cleaner with a bright smile asked us if we wanted our room cleaned on each aswell. I can't say enough good words about the running of this motel and it's staff. Thank you Lewis and team for a wonderful stay, each one of you are amazing and I hope many good things come your way for your kindness, hospitality and genuine good nature. Andy & Peanuts :)

Reviewed By WarrickJ_13Spent the night there. Budget accommodation but if that what you want it's perfect. Bonus having a public house at the gate of the site so somewhere to eat mix and mingle. Is by a main road but couldn't hear anything. Bird song in the morning was pleasant.

Oxford Queenette Backpackers, OQB, is situated in the heart of picturesque town of Oxford –known as “the best little town in New Zealand”, at the edge of the Canterbury plains on South Island, NZ. It is a convenient stop on scenic Route 72, opposite Town Hall, Library and behind Queenette Dairy, the local convenience store. OQB has brand new set up, with 7 rooms, 1 double, 1 double en-suite, 1 family, 2 twin and 2 Dorm rooms. It has total 28 beds able to host 31 people total. All beds have brand new quality mattresses, bedside light and USB charging outlet. All rooms have heater/air condition and keyless digital lock. We offer free WiFi, self-help laundry(coin operated), communal kitchen, indoor and outdoor lounge and eating areas, free on-site parking, kettle and hair dryers shared for our guests, information about local activities, and luggage storage on request. Free tea and coffee in the kitchen and a book exchange and TV in the lounge.

Modern wooden furnishing, great size of a kitchen. Towels and hand towels was a nice addition as usually hostels do not provide these. We where arriving late but owners where able to accommodate us and they went above and beyond and put me and my friend in a private room cause there was a big group in the other rooms

Lots of space - more than a normal motel
Reviewed By kaueli2We stayed for one night in the large four room unit. We were able to sleep 2 couples and three singles in four rooms each with an en suite. The unit was very clean and well appointed. Furnishings were modern and comfortable and there was plenty of room for all of us. Booking was a breeze, and while the check-in was remote, it was personalised with clear directions to the room. As it was the owner came out to greet us which was lovely. We had an extra car which was able to parked on site and ate at the restaurant next door. We would definitely stay here again - and would recommend the large unit.

We had room 7, excellent with a little garden we sat out and ate in. The kitchen facilities were more than adequate and more than most motels we stayed in. Great bed, good shower. What's not to like.

I visited my family daily and went into Christchurch a few times while there. Could not find fault with my motel or the owners. I will stay there next time I stay in South Island.

Excellent Holiday Park for Dogs
Reviewed By CayosfreemanWe booked one of the 4 pet friendly powered sites as it was our first time camping with our large dog. The designated area is fantastic! Loads of room (great if you have a larger dog) and with the river just a short 4 minute walk away it's perfect for water crazy pooches! We were fully self contained, however the amenities were always clean and well looked after and the owners super friendly and helpful. Great location close to some awesome bush/forest walks as well.

The guest units are an extension of our family home and from there we offer a range of local activities.

Reviewed By CyclingNZMy husband and I enjoyed a wonderful stay at Seatonwood Villas at the conclusion of our 24-day cycling trip to New Zealand. Both Sheryl and Pete (as well as Leila, Blue, and Scruffy!) were so very warm and welcoming upon our arrival. Our dinner (thank you for including us with no advance notice) and conversation were fabulous, and we enjoyed a great night of sleep in their beautiful and comfortable room. They have certainly thought of every need of travelers, and the room was welcome, beautiful, and spotlessly clean. We were sorry that Pete had an early start on the next day, but had a lovely time at breakfast with Sheryl. Thank you both for your great hospitality. We fell in love with New Zealand and count both of you among the many warm and wonderful Kiwis who made our trip absolutely magical. We hope to stay with you again on our next trip, and we will stay more than one night to ensure we have the chance to explore the surrounding areas.
