Reviewed By martyh566Great place to stay for a PEI visit. Miles is a wonderful host. Rooms have been remodeled and exceed the quality of a chain. Nice grounds, beautiful sculptures in the garden, and even a with a path to the water. PEI is small enough to base your adventures from here.

Our room en-suite room was lovely and fitted with a Jacuzzi tub and cozy nooks where I could sit quietly and write in my journal while my honey watched TV. Breakfast of yummy pancakes was served in their dining room, and the house is filled with lovely needlework, quilts, and other homey touches.

No complaints at all but was slightly disappointed that there was no breakfast on site and you had to order a muffin or egg sandwich the night before. This in no way would change my rating or my hope to return one day in the future.

Cairns Motel is a 3 star, family operated motel, with rooms recently renovated, and new rooms added in the spring of 2009. Our spacious grounds, filled with large flower gardens, as well an orchard with a Gazebo, makes for a relaxing atmosphere. As well our groomed trail connects onto the confederation Walking/Bicycle trail. All rooms have a fridge/microwave, 32" flat screen cable TV, air conditioning,Telephone and a hair dryer in the bathroom. Also new in 2009 We added a convenience room with Coin laundry, Soda vending machine, and Ice dispenser ( Open 24 hours ) *NEWLY Up-graded WIFI, ( Aug 2014)

Reviewed By ElaineF185On this, our second stay at Driftwood Heights in Summerside, we continue to be extremely impressed with every aspect of this beautiful B&B. Hosts, Sean and Liz, are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Greeted by the couple’s two adorable dogs, the guest immediately feels “at home.” “At Home” that is with added comforts and luxuries. The decor is superb. We stayed this time in the Garden Wall Suite which is creatively decorated and offers a jacuzzi tub, separate shower, and a chaise lounge. Decor throughout the home is modern with delightful added touches (vases with beautiful floral arrangements, quirky ornaments etc) but sprinkled throughout are touches of the past. The lounge reminded Clarence of one in his grandfather’s office at the courthouse in Sydney, CB, many decades ago while the lace tablecloths in the dining room provided the “just right” element of nostalgia. The breakfasts are superb whether the hosts are serving a quiche or crepes, preceded of course by a large bowl of fresh fruit. Ours was especially good with blueberries and strawberries both in season. Sean and Liz are very attuned to food allergies and make certain your breakfast meets your personal requirements. We stumbled across this wonderful accommodation by accident in 2019; concerns about the pandemic kept us at home until we were fully vaccinated; if fate favours us, we shall definitely be returning in 2022. Our one (rather minor complaint which had little impact on the overall quality of our stay) is that we would enjoy having a mini fridge in each room rather than a shared one in the delightful common area in the basement. When we got in the room strong smell smoke. well unpacking are car people who live in the holtel all year started walking around my car swearing blowing smoke at us with alcohol in there hands (tuesday morning)like tring to intermediate us .my kids were scard! went for a walk on the "board walk" run down broken glass spray paint over everting people walking around defiantly on some kind of drugs when we returned to are hotel to find people standing and sitting right in front of are room with music blaring they said cuple thing to us then we pack up and got the heck out of there i fear what would of happend if we stayed ive herd since are stay that summerside is struggling with a drug problem and its defiantly clear at this motel

Reviewed By small_2wn_girl_63This was a neat place to stay. The room was equipped with everything a regular hotel room has. There is wifi, coffee/tea maker, fridge, cable tv, hairdryer, safe. There is an onsite restaurant and a fitness area. There is also a convenience store within walking distance. There a many sidewalks to walk around the area. It is very quiet and peaceful. There are washers/dryers available at $2.00 per load. Outside each building there are wooden chairs to sit and enjoy the weather. Note: our GPS couldn't find the hotel. We called and they said to enter the Airport and it got us there no problem. The only downside is the free parking - you need to unload your bags, at the front or back door of the building and move your car to another parking lot.
