Great stay in very well run guest house

We stayed at the Chapel Guest house for 2 nights at the end of April. Richard and Tracy made us very welcome and everything about our stay was 5 out of 5 - lovely clean room, quiet environment, great breakfast, comfortable bed, etc. The guest house is ideally located for visits to Charlestown (recommended, great restaurants), Eden Project (wow!) and the Lost Gardens of Heligan (we will visit next time we stay).

Food was excellent and our Steak & Frites lunch hit the spot! Clean and comfortable rooms and a great view of the Harbour from my room! Would stay again.

Stay clear

Reviewed By 513jessw

Service was disappointing, breakfast not worth paying for at all, bed sheets dirty and the water that came out of the taps was brown and dirty. Spoke to someone about this at the desk and they didn’t care to sort this at all. £95.50 for one night, very very overpriced, very disappointed with the place. Would stay clear of it!

Truly beautiful hotel that is pure luxury!

This is our first visit to Boscundle Manor and we are definitely coming back! The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, the rooms incredibly stylish and luxurious. Most importantly all the staff are truly wonderful and so welcoming, especially Nicole! We had wonderful spa treatments with Emma that were pure bliss. We’ve loved getting to know Louise, the lovely owner and host. The breakfasts abd afternoon tea were just delicious. We were only booked for 2 nights and within a couple of hours of arriving we extended our stay by another night. I’ve never felt so relaxed! Thank you to Louise and her amazing team!

Friendly staff, relaxing but cocktail onions in my dinner

Reviewed By Compass51927510451

Very friendly staff. Beautiful setting with walks around the ground. Room was large and airy with a balcony and nice views. Dinner was a big disappointment. I had the coc au vin - the potatoes were described as ‘duchesse’; in reality these must have been made days earlier and were dry little swirly things that tasted of cardboard. I am convinced the onions were cocktail onions ( from a jar!! What the heck???)- they tasted of vinegar. The French would have a good laugh at that one! We sat in the bar and what a depressing little room that is- also, the chairs are too low for the tables. Some bright artwork, a couple of rag runners and some tall plants would add a bit of character to the room. A change of seating is a must! I had my nails done and the lady lady was lovely and it was very relaxing. Disappointed to learn that you had to book a swimming spot so not spontaneity though in fairness this could be Covid related. Generally pleased with the stay but the chef needs to look at that dish and think would he want to eat it?
