Lovely staff, impeccably clean rooms, great views
Reviewed By Jan PAt first we booked just one night but stayed for 3 in the end. Very nice, impeccably clean and spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Kind and helpful staff - English speaking. Great tips about local restaurants. Good breakfast with eggs, sausages, cold meats, cereals, fruits and sweets. Working wifi. Great location in the old center, next door to local eateries and cultural attractions. We saw some people were complaining about noise but for us it was quiet. Very pleasant view on the mountains from our room on the 3rd floor. Close to bus stops and walking trails to the villages of Unha and Babergue. Local small supermarket - 3 minutes away on foot. We would definitely stay there again.

Reviewed By René PWhen heading south to Portugal we decided to make a 4 day break in a region we have never been before. We booked the hotel following the good reviews on booking.com and I have to admit that we have not been disappointed at all. First of all I would like to praise not only the owners but the whole staff of the hotel, from the management to the cleaning ladies. Everybody is very helpful, professional, dedicated to their work, kind and friendly and they make you feel at home. The hotel is well situated with quick access to stunning landscapes. The owners will largely explain you the many sites to visit nearby. We absolutely recommend the walk around the seven lakes in the mountains (amazing!) called Estanhs de Colomèrs, Artiga de Lin, Montgarri,...but there is so much more. After a long walk you can relax in the large pool in the hotel. Not to forget the dinner in the restaurant: well prepared, big choice, well dressed and of very good quality. You will have to pass by the dessert buffet which is large and excellent. We regret that we did not stay a few days more to discover even more in this pretty region! The only negative point is that the pool is situated the other side of the main street, which is a bit stressy when you have little kids. Unfortunately there is no zebra crossing, which would be very helpful.

Owner and staff - all absolutely lovely. This hotel really is a jewel, as you can read in all the reviews. What's more, it's easy to reach by car. The roads are kept clear even when it's snowing. The village of Salardu is pretty. Skiing in Baquiera is less than 10 minutes up the road. The pistes are kept in good condition with canons when there's not an abundance of snow. Can't be beaten for a family holiday, any time of year.

Reviewed By Steve HStayed here during the Tour De France. The room was average but the view was great and the owners were so much help that it made up for any shortcomings. The breakfast was fine. I would stay here again.

Partially renewed on 2014, it offers warm and comfortable facilities clearly superior to other hotels the same category. The hotel serves free complete self-service breakfast to all guests, the bar is open all day long and it offers the possibility to have "pa amb tomaquet" with tastings of products of la Vall d'Aran for dinner. The 18 rooms available are equipped with radiant floor heating system, plasma TV with satellite channels and safety deposit boxes. Hotel deth Pais is closely connected to the Occitan tradition and culture and is specially recommended for those who love skiing, trekking, biking, hiking, and generally any kind of outdoor sports. Guests willing to make use of the hotel private parking space should point it out when making the reservation.

Reviewed By MARTHA91256This is a small hotel a little hidden in the village. It is run by a family and they are extremely kind, attending any demand the best they can. The building is the typical from the region, wooden and stone construction.The rooms are spacious, scarcely furnished, but the bed is very comfy and they even have a small TV. The whole building is very clean, the breakfast is quite good, with great coffee and good quality choices. Their parking has a difficult access, as the streets of all the cities in that area are very narrow. The relation quality price is excellent, I would say it deserves to be a 3 stars hotel because of the kindness and service of the place. It was a very pleasant stay and I would go back if I travel to that area again. Very recommendable for families, groups of friends, sport people, etc. Even their WIFI service is good enough to work from the room.

Reviewed By qqqkkkqqqNo hemos podido ir a esquiar por un covid positivo, han sido inflexibles en cuanto a la anulaciòn. Hemos tenido que pagar la primera noche y su desayuno aunque cancelamos con mas de un dia de antelaciòn. En otra epoca lo hubiera entendido, eran las condiciones de reserva pero hoy en dia considero que es exagerado.
