Good food in a special decorum
Reviewed By integrasnLiked Foremost this hotel is in a nice setting close to the lake. It was corona time, so of course in-room dining and not much could be used outside, which was expected. Still the view of ducks and a goose living their lives on the water was very nice and kind of cosy. The most important point is certainly the friendliness of all the staff. Be it at the reception, explaining foot or bike tours, wine selection, when serving - we always felt very welcome. This goes a long way further than even a good average. More neutral is the design. Decoration is special - you like it or not - looks a bit old-fashioned, but certainly has a charm which many face-less hotel do not have. Be prepared for it! Food served was excellent and, though server at the room, still hot and a pleasure to eat. Good selection of wines. Of course you have all of St. Vith possibilities at your disposal, loads of possibilities for cycling and hiking and a lively, if small city to stroll across. Disliked Decoration being subject to discussion, much would need an overhaul in some way or another. Room 15 is very nice on top, but does not even have a shower curtain for the bathtub, Not easy to use. Black flowery tiles add to the decorum. The door to be opened to the outside does not work correctly, the chairs look nice, but start to fall apart and one does not really dare sitting on them. The ceiling light is nice, but we bumped our heads more than once. Very nice ceiling beams in the room, but the wood covering the ceiling otherwise looks like plastic and does not the room justice. Outside roof tiles noisy in the wind. Don't get this wrong - we still felt good there. It just would be a phantastic room if it were redone carefully and some furniture repaired. One remark regarding the breakfast - it was ok, but far from anything extra-ordinary. It would be nice to have a little bit more selection for cheese, less plastic wrapping (yes I know, it is corona time) and at least some organic ingredients/fruit. Also frozen rolls re-heated crumbling away under your fingers are not a real pleasure.

Reviewed By Stefano EB&B located above a French fries take away / snack. Rooms are clean and the service is very kind. Acoustically (doors) not very well insulated, hence a bit loud. Mattresses are in hard foam, not for every back .. Value for money is ok.

Reviewed By wvdm2016Lovely place with garden and lake. Flowers everywhere. Dinner on the lakeside terrace. Many antiques and beautiful carpets. Beds were a little too firm. Breakfast is very basic but the soft boiled egg was nice. Staff is very friendly and helpful, two sisters and a brother (the cook). Mother is also around ?.

Reviewed By OnOurWay038I am not sure what I expected, but we were completely surprised by the stylish rooms here. Just lovely. Big, clean and incredibly comfortable.... as well as beautifully decorated. Access to rooms was as easy as promised, there were several excellent restaurants in easy walking distance, and street parking was a snap. We were visiting at the end of September, so that probably explains lack of traffic.

Very pleasant stay
Reviewed By JohnB240This hotel is right in the centre of the town. We were able to book a night's stay with meal served in our room. The staff were very friendly and explained everything about the current regulations. The room was large and well decorated, and very comfortable. The meal was excellent in all respects, and also the breakfast the following morning. The hotel has its own parking but there is free parking within a very short walk. The only slight downside was that our room was on the main street and there was some traffic noise early in the morning. Overall though this was a very pleasant stay even under the unusual conditions.

Excellent Accomodation, Recommended
Reviewed By Geoff TWe found this accommodation (B&B) very comfortable and clean. The B&B is located about 400 - 500 metres on the edge of St Vith. It is easy walking distance into the village to all amenities, restaurants etc. In a quiet location. Room was a good size with nice bathroom. Breakfast was provided in the room by the host who was very friendly and helpful. We checked in at 4 pm, called earlier but no one around. Hosts has young children possible school age. So maybe the later check in time. Breakfast was adequate. Good location if exploring the Ardennes area. Drove to Malmedy and St Gleize, museums all close by. I can highly recommend this accommodation. It suited our needs. We set the address in our GPS which took us passed the B&B. So just be aware. drove back down the lane way as the B&B is set in rural lane way.

Temidden van de bossen kan je onze B&B vinden! We hebben in december alle kamers gerenoveerd! De Vogelkamer heeft een extra groot bed van 200X200, de jachtkamer heeft een extra groot bed van 200X200 en de mogelijkheid voor een derde persoon in een bed van 100X200, de boskamer heeft een dubbelbed van 180X200 e de bloemenkamer is de kleinste kamer met een dubbelbed van 140X2OO.
Charming B&B in the Ardennes
Reviewed By MichaelY509We stayed here for 4 wonderful nights. The rooms were wonderfully cozy and quiet. The beds were very comfortable! The living room had such a homey feeling. Katy and Mathias were fantastic hosts and we felt very pampered. Breakfast was always great. We also loved the quiet and remote location in the forest but close proximity to so much to visit. We will return and stay here again.

Reviewed By Moetje-Kathyeen prachtig appartement op 10 minuutjes rijden van St Vith, midden in de natuur. ruime living met open keuken, ruime slaapkamer en ruime badkamer. verwelkomt door de eigenaar met een fles rode wijn. de eigenaar stond altijd voor je klaar om je een zo aangenaam verblijf te bieden, een echte aanrader.

Mooi restaurant, lekker eten
Reviewed By Martine WEenvoudige, maar o zo lekkere lunch. Schnitzel met champignonroomsaus en sla. Alles vers en ruime porties. De frieten waren perfect gebakken! Wat een mooi restaurant ook. Helemaal vernieuwd, warm en gezellig. Heel rustig en fijne bediening in meerdere talen. Wat hebben we hier genoten van onze lunch! Ruime parking. Ligging in een klein dorpje, maar met de auto valt er in de wijde omgeving heel wat te zien. We zaten hier niet op hotel, maar we overwegen om dit in de nabije toekomst wel eens te doen. Eerlijke prijzen.
