Basic, nice breakfast but disappointing room
Reviewed By akselv2022The staff was not very friendly. Just basic politeness. The rooms and facilities are outdated and in need of renovation. There was a very unpleasant sigarette odour in our room, and the same odour was all around the hotel, despite the no-smoking policy. This made the experience below average. Breakfast was better than expected, with a nice selection of cold and warm options. Overall a very basic experience.

Reviewed By ldb164Very nice boutique hotel with kind reception. Welcome drink in the bar was nice too. The Family room was on top level, comfortable, clean rooms and 2nd room for kids. Bathroom was OK. Breakfast buffet with many variations of food, drinks etc...and cava on the house. Five minute walk from the beach. Near a big choise of visit places, shops, restaurants, bars etc. 15 minutes walk from harbor with beautiful boats. Parking places (paid) in area around hotel.

Old school style at the seaside

Lobby and breakfast space have been renovated recently and the restaurant offers direct sea view. We took a room with a private terrace overlooking the sea and were very pleased. Spacious and with a beautiful of the sunset. Location in Ostende is good with direct access to the shore and the beach.

Too many issues, though a good location
Reviewed By 726michaelvWe stayed here for 4 days and unfortunately it just felt like the list of issues didnt stop. When we arrived we were welcomed by a severe smell of sewer on the floor of our room. It appeared to be comming from the air conditioning system and did not affect the rooms itself, but only the hallway. We reported it to the reception and it got better next da, but didnt disappear. Next day the water pipes at the hotel got a leak or something like that, so water was gone from the hotel for multiple hours - without informing the guests. I understand it was an incident, but I believe it could have been handled smoother. Day 3, then the severe sewer smell on the floor of our room was back. It didnt disappear again and was present the rest of our stay. So all in all. Just not that pleasant an experience. Rooms itself are nice, service in the reception very good and the location is very nice with walking distance to promenade, restaurants and shopping. TIP: Find a parking spot near Maria Hendrika Park. It is free, instead of the expensive fees close to the beach (around 25-30€ a night).

Very lovely hotel and room
Reviewed By VodkaQueenNLWe stayed here for one night for a concert at the Hippodrome. It's a 10 minute walk from the train station to the hotel. We arrived early, so it was not possible to check in, but we were able to leave our luggage and walk around the town a bit. We came back later and were checked in and advised how to reach the room by a lift at the back - quite a compact space, so not ideal if you want to keep distance. Nevertheless, we got to our room and it was very nice - carpet a little shabby at the door and the bathroom was small considering the room itself was quite big, but the toiletries were very luxury. There was also complimentary water and glasses - a big plus for me. Paper cups are ok, but do get soggy after a while, so glasses are perfect. As a Silver member, I also took advantage of the welcome drink, but as it was busy in the evening, we were able to take our drinks up to our room. We didn't take advantage of breakfast - at 22 euros per person, this is by far the most expensive I have seen it at in the Accor chain. There are plenty of nearby cafes to eat at. We got a really nice breakfast at Cheers just across the road. It was nice to have some luxury, even if it was just for one night.

Reviewed By Startstruck54Excellent central hotel. Nothing to fault at all. Close to all shops, restaurants and bars. Near the beach. Reception were friendly and helpful. The family room was a good size and very clean. Breakfast was excellent. Best part of the day! Near to the train station where we caught the train to Antwerp. Very good value for money. Had some very inconsiderate guests in room about one night running over floors and banging constantly but reception went up twice to sort the issue out and resolved second time. Def recommend x

WIFI is included in the price of the room, to stay up to date with friends and family. When exploring the bar and the whisky lounge you will discover about 80 different malt whiskeys that you can enjoy in front of the open fire in the Lindores Lounge on those chilly days. For our small guests there is a childrens' playing area. Our Executive and eco rooms are equipped with Daikin Air conditioning. 4 seminar rooms with daylight and air conditioning available for up to 80 people.

Reviewed By LYDIAG59JakartaManagement told us the room was closed for refurbished but still rented it out to us. They told us they proposed to give us another room but thats a big lie, we did not want to stay in a health hazard room voluntarily but that is what they told us. Proof that they knew the room was not fit , letter from hotel here.mold in shower, mold on the ceiling. Horrible experience!!

(see picture of bed) bed comfort was ok. small tv in the room. Evrything was crammed in the room, nearly no space to walk (very small rooms - and we had the premium size) I guess you can say for the money paid, it is ok. bathroom very small, you can sit on the toilet and brush your teeth in the sink. all functional but again outdated feel. Nothing (no hooks) in bathroom to hang clothes while showering. location is good, start of the shopping street , close to the harbor and station, 10-15 min walk from the beach. staff was very friendly and helpfull wifi was ok breakfast was good all in all for the price paid (around 100 euro / night) , it s a good hotel, despites the small rooms giving you a very outdated feel. When all you have to do here is sleep and have breakast , than this is a good choice.
