Ongula Village Homestead Lodge is situated between Ondangwa (one of the oldest towns in the Namibia's northern region) and Eenhana town, built alongside an active Owambo Homestead (or Village). One of the few lodges in Namibia to offer an introduction to the traditional lifestyle of our Owambo people. The lodge fully supports sustainable Tourism and thus offer voluntourism. The lodge offer 5 Rondawels (African- style round huts), 4 Rondawels with 2 twin beds/1 double bed in each, and 1 Family Rondawel offers 2 Twin Beds and 1 Double bed. All units are uniquely decorated and equipped with en-suite facilities (shower only), tea/coffee station, and mosquito screens. The lodge caters for campers with 5 Campsites, terraced and leveled with clean sand, shared ablution facility (cold water only), running tap water and shades. 2 Volunteer Yurts newly added to cater for volunteering and experteering, each yurt accommodate up to 4 people with shared ablution facilities (cold water only). The cozy and appealing reception building hosts a Dining room, Bar and Lounge with TV.

Reviewed By eltonimeneAll in one good service. But why deduct payments from accounts after a week? Payments should be deducted at least a day after leaving premises. Fix the locks of the doors, doors should not be hard to open. Food was number 1. Good atmosphere

Reviewed By anadiai2021We're a company situated in Windhoek, about every month on and of we make bookings at Protea Hotel Ondangwa for our people. Their telephone and email skills out of 10 is zero. One send an email to request for a quote, no response for about 2 days, you would not get a response unless you call - which I did. Call was taken, 'yes, we received the request' (ok, thinking to myself, response??) 'yes, we will send now an email, this will only be done after 2 or 3 calls. Dinner is not worth that charge of N$250.00, Service at the Hotel self is poor - one always have to look for somebody to ask for assistance. What happened to decent SERVICE in Namibia???

On the second morning a lot of things for our breakfast were finishend. This could be done better. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are spacious and equiped withe satelitte tv.

The place has very good design .I think you can also stay in the hotel part , usually the pool is working but due to covid it was not . There is a balcony upstairs and parking spots. We recommend it !

Good Vibes, Affordable Accomodation
Reviewed By Jacob HORC seems like an excellent place to come and chill. There is a covered patio overlooking a pond with a full service bar and decent food. However, once you retire back to the rooms you can see that more attention has been paid to the restaurant than the hotel. I had Room 6 which had a finicky lock, no water pressure in the sink or hot water pressure in the shower. However, for N$300 a night, ORC is one of the most affordable accommodations in Ondangwa, so much of this can be overlooked. Especially, if you're going to spend most your time sitting on the lovely patio.

Reviewed By bemonojoWir haben auf der Durchreise eine Nacht im Rochas verbracht. Das Zimmer war ziemlich dunkel und ungemütlich. Die Matratze war viel zu weich. Aber es war sehr sauber. Im Restaurant haben wir am Abend gegessen. Das Essen war durchschnittlich, aber wir mussten über eine Stunde darauf warten! Für eine Nacht ist es einigermassen auszuhalten.
