The servers was very polite with the guests and it was a blast, also the pool and the beach is just amazing. Breakfast had everything that you could dream and free bike to exercise anytime.

A great king size bed (a real king, not twins), cool air conditioned room, a great view, with a balcony and a hammock (rede), clean pools, quiet relaxing atmosphere with well kept grounds, good music, good food, good service, good respectful people, and covid safe precautions by all staff. What more could one ask for? We were thankful for the opportunity to stay here after moving from a lower quality pousada across the street. Much better value and quality here.

Great location. Worn out hotel.

The jacuzzi in our balcony has seen better days (although it worked perfectly it looked very worn out), the deck in our balcony had also seen better days. The breakfast and other meals were subpar with very few options for all and even fewer for vegetarians. I didn’t pay for the all inclusive experience and I was happy that I wasn’t tied to the property for any of my meals. A/Cs in the room worked great, the TVs were flat but no channels in HD, all else was comfortable.

No welcome drink . We then went to the room . Só dated screws sticking out of lights . Bathroom towels i think they was ment to be White. The bathroom soaps etc cheap and nasty . The balcony had very old plástic furniture not welcoming to sit out at all. We was told about The ala cart resturant how good The Food was só after going tô The theatr we rushed back . The resturant again was dateed most of the Tables was dirty . After sitting down and looking at the menu wow what a surprise only one vegetarian option. No starters available you had to go next door and have a starter from The buffet . Then too finnish it off hardly any of the wine available on The list . Would i go back Yes but only if they pull the hotel down and re build it

The only issue was that the rooms could have been upgraded. For the price we paid, it is a real bargain. But I can see how people can not give it 5 stars. Kids running around, outdated bathroom and loud music until 10pm are not for everyone but they were fine for us. Gym could be a lot better. It was in a 10x15 room with outdated machines.

Missing items and poor management
Reviewed By edupamaralSpent 3 nights in mid December with the family at the sister property Pontalmar Praia Hotel, which had its amenity areas under remodelling so most of our hotel time was spent at Rifoles Praia Hotel & Resort. Management was unified for the 2 properties so I'd assume the same treatment would be given if the situation I'm describing below happened at Rifoles: we had a 2-room reservation at Pontalmar -aveerage accommodation, decent breakfast, very poor internet connection. O the 2nd day my oldest son noticed that 2 Hurley board shorts were missing. Hotel could not provide any resolution: front desk claimed they needed to check with Security, which in turn handed over the problem to Housekeeping.. Management was non-existent until the very last minute, when someone from Rifoles was pulled in. She assured us that the hotel would get back in a couple of hours. No response that day. No response to my subsequent emails. I'd definitively avoid the property and its sister place, Pontalmar Praia Hotel.
