Worst Front Office and Best GM

Reviewed By La_Grrandemalar2020

I have booked this resort for my Hotel's MD and his family from 30th May to 03rd June. For a resort two rooms for four night during week days and for a revenue of approximately Rs. 50, 000/- is a bumper lottery. But the people at Front Office especially Mr. Vivek and Ms. Sushma does not seem to be aware of this it seems. As per my MD's statement, Mr. Vivek and Ms. Sushma were behaving as if they are the owners of the Resort and they dont seem to be bothered about any one as if there is no one either to ask them or to control them. It seems that these people have forgotten the fact that owner of the hotels / resort also is a host. Incident 1: MY MD was not happy with his room allotment and requested for a room change. He was committed that he would be shifted by 11 AM. He was made to wait for three hours. During this wait period he was not given any information about the reason for the untoward delay. Neither a courtesy call from Front Office as well. Annoyed by these people's behaviour, my MD has irritatingly informed them that he wanted to check out from the resort. The replay was amazing from Mr. Vivek or Ms. Sushma. My MD was informed to vacate if he wanted to without asking the reason for his cutting shot his stay. The question supposed to be asked by a GSA but the FOM is not even bothered. Incident 2: The date of check in ie 30th May was my MD’s birthday. I requested at least 4-5 times for a birthday cake to be sent to his room with Mr. Vivek and Ms. Sushma. I have even informed them that I shall pay for the cake charges if their management policy does not allow them to send a complimentary cake for guest’s birthday. Normally, it’s a quite common courtesy even three star hotel do follow to send a compli cake for a Guest’s Anniversary / Birthday. I was committed that the cake would be provided. When I checked with Mr. Vivek the next day, he lied me that he provided the birthday cake and he would send a pic of birthday cake if I wanted to. I am still waiting for the PIC. Mr. Aiyappan the General Manager of the Resort has tried his level best to make my MD’s stay as pleasant as possible. As soon as he heard from me about the cake not sent to my MD’s room; he sent a cake; he personally apologized to my MD and made a courtesy call to our MD upon each meal time. In fact, it was Mr. Aiyappan’s humble request and attitude made my MD to give up his anger and to go back to the Resort. As per my MD the resort is still running and still getting guests it’s just because of Mr. Aiyappan’s guest relations and attitude and people like Mr. Vivek and Ms. Sushma are playing perfect spoilsport for Mr. Aiyappan’s hospitality and are bringing the best possible ways to downgrade the Resort.

Not a place for family get away:: TRANSIT hotel

Reviewed By Kishan77

A very bad experience, especially when you are taking a family with you. We paid a premium for the room, EXECUTIVE SUPERIOR rooms with AC, absolutely disappointed. Air conditioning did not work in both the rooms. The rooms were on 29.5 degree for both the days, . The rooms were like - Old lady in new clothes, decent rooms through. I am sure in its hay days, it might have been competing with the likes of Royal Orchid Metropole, however its not the same again. Staff are absolutely under trained, they are clueless, felt as if stop gap staff were placed to manage the day. Bathrooms were full of patch works and bath tub was stained. The main door lock never worked in one go, needed a min 5 tries....After trial and errors the door used to lock. Sofa in the room had real dirty stains... Sound proofing of the room...or should i say, get ready for a very noise sleep as the foot steps from the corridors are amplified into the sleep area, making it a very noisy hotel Front office team was just a JOKE.. Even after multiple complaints, the issues were never fixed.. If you are travelling to Mysore for a transit, then you can opt for this hotel as this is conveniently located, as you will be staying for few hours. However, if you are going with your family, this is a BIG AVOID. There are many better options in Mysore which can be explored. Please watch out for the prices...as this hotel sometime is charged exorbitantly and dont fall for the false demand that is generated by the system.
