Book it!!

This hotel was one of the best stays during our visit to the Balkan. Suzana and her husband were great hosts. Hats off to being the perfect hosts - always available but never overwhelming. The location was PERFECT! It is right by the crooked bridge and is within a short walking distance to the restaurants and the famous old bridge. Tucked away from the Main Street to ensure a good night's sleep while being close to all the actions. The room was renovated with everything you’d need - Nice shower, strong wifi, and a comfy bed. Parking was available on site for 5 euros. Highly recommended!!

Warm welcome

Reviewed By tassieBerlin

Despite complications with google maps and the one-way streets we finally found the hotel with the car and received a very warm welcome from the staff, who provided bountiful information for our stay. The location is very central, just minutes away from the famous bridge and most of the other sights. The room was spacious and modern. Luckily with an aircon as it was over 30oC outside. It is a listed building, so there is no lift, but the staff were happy to help carry the luggage up and down the stairs. The breakfast was plentiful and filled our needs and more. We also ate in the restaurant in the evening on the veranda. This provided a picturesque setting for the set meu experience, which certainly filled our appetites. They also serve à la carte. Many of the younger waiting staff seemed to be in training, but were very friendly and helpful.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Reviewed By Pauls_Travel_Tips

The Good: There is a lot more good at this hotel than anything. The rooms are large and quiet, you're on the 9th floor with no other building nearby able to look in, so nice and private, clean bathroom, awesome shower and separate bath. The breakfast is excellent with lots to choose, including bacon and the best chocolate croissants I've had. The weight room is decent enough, the pool is very nice and the sauna and steam room are a bonus. Free parking to come and go after having the ticket validated is nice. The AC/Heat works well and is quiet. Having the mall with restaurants right below you is a great option. Not a bad walk to Stari Most and all flat. Friendly check in and check out. Did I mention the breakfast had bacon? The Bad: The WiFi is pretty slow and I kept getting kicked off. The Ugly: The rooms carpet really needs to be replaced a couple of years ago.

Great little hotel

Reviewed By Barbara_A462

We stayed three nights here and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. About a five minute walk away from the chaotic Old Town, Villa Anri was a quiet refuge. We were welcomed with a choice of drinks, enjoyed the private terrace (room 301, but remember there’s no elevator) and a basic, but tasty breakfast. The staff were lovely and incredibly helpful with dining recommendations, finding a local ATM, arranging for local tours and a driver for our onward destination of Sarajevo, and providing some TLC one day when my husband had a cold — those instructions for medication in a foreign language can be tricky. Stay here,

A must for traveller through Mostar!

I was booked in for one night and then after jumping the Mostar bridge and hurting my knee I could barely move. I ended up staying for about a week, the family were so helpful looking after me, getting me food at the shops, running me back and forth to the hospital and getting fresh ice-packs for my knee. Would highly recommend for the hospitality alone. The room was basic but provided a bed and some well needed rest.

Amazing staff, top service, highly recommend

My parents found themselves at this hotel due to a medical emergency that meant they had to unexpectedly stay in the town for 10 days. The staff (especially Tanja on reception) were incredible. Everyone went the extra mile to ensure they were well looked after, bringing my dad food and helping him with navigation and translation while my mum was in hospital. When released, they arranged transport back to the hotel, made a complete fuss of my mum, and even gave them a special Easter meal. Above and beyond all the help and support they received, my parents loved the hotel. It was clean, comfortable, the breakfast was good and English was spoken. It was well placed in the town, a few hundred meters from the Old Town, the bridge, and a supermarket. Thank you Tanja and everyone for taking such good care of my parents, they will never forget your kindness.

The best stay in Mostar!

Reviewed By urbanroachblog

Better late than never! We stayed here during a roadtrip in August. - The family is amazingly nice and so sweet! We had some difficulty finding the place, so my partner stayed in the car while I went looking for the pansion. When I found it, immediately a nice young man went back with me and even parked the car for us. The daughter then showed us our room ( a little small but completely okay for two nights), the house and all the rooms look quite knew, the bathroom was big and spotless! Another plus: It is quiet, even though the location is in the middle of the city center! The mother brought us some homemade ice cream and lemonade as a greeting! Everyone was just so nice and made us really feel at home! On our last day the dad helped us again to with the car! I would highly recommend everyone to stay here during their visit to Mostar! Amazing place and amazing hosts! Thank you so much for making our stay so great! Greetings from Austria! Annine & Martin :)

DO NOT STAY HERE! I was left stranded in the dark and pouring rain at 9pm to a locked door. I had booked the night before and was told by the owner that I could check-in until 11pm. I sent them messages that I was there which they read and ignored, I called them 20 times to no answer. At 9:45 I was forced to walk the cold dark streets with all my luggage in a storm to find another hostel. There needs to be an option for 0/5 stars.

Great location, great management team, good price, but needs a tidy up

Reviewed By BertBantham

I loved so much about Hotel Kapetanovina. Firstly, it was ideally located for the Mostar Old Town, and there is even a super market just next door. There were some other good features. The staff were diligent and very helpful and the parking opposite was excellent value. But there were some frustrating features, including the air-conditioning not working in our original room (it was never fixed), the hotel does not have an ice machine, our toilet seat was broken and the lights in our room randomly switched on and off. Breakfast was very basic, but suited our needs. Overall, Hotel Kapetanovina is good value and I would stay there again, but I wish they would fix the broken bits and pieces.
