Awful service and misleading description
Reviewed By W213BGmiramOur room was modern and we had not been informed it was in an annex. We could hear our fellow guests very noisy, we could not eat in the restaurant in the hotel although we were staying there and there was room if we had not "booked". There was no parking and we spent a long time looking for parking. We could not get a massage as the wellness spa had one masseur and he was booked. Nothing was good about our stay in this hotel.

Reviewed By Brian HHaving stayed here for two single nights before, we wondered if it would be to the same standard as on our two other visits, if it is possible it was even better. We were able to extend our five nights to six, to cover covid restrictions back in the UK, and from that point it went like a dream. We were able to have half board at a very reasonable rate, which included cake and coffee in the afternoon, and a three course meal in the evening, with three excellent choices for the first two courses. The hotel is in a quiet area,, spotlessly clean, very comfortable beds, and a very convenient hotel garage. But above all it is the staff who make a visit here so special, nothing was too much trouble, and requests were always carried out with what we were sure was a smile under their masks. The welcome to all from the lady owner, is what puts this hotel at the very top of German hospitality, we do hope to be able to return again and be pampered.

Lovely staff crap hotel
Reviewed By Steve100eaterIt’s 35 degrees and no aircon what else can I say, we are told they don’t have aircon but some water cooling system which clearly doesn’t work, TV has 200 and about 8 work and there all German, 1 coffee machine at breakfast for 250 guests, free WiFi but you are almost made to leave a donation to some charity that the hotel follow, only when I complained did we find out you don’t have to donate, but they make it almost impossible not to!!! The shower when turned on flood the bathroom, and it’s obviously done it got a while as the door is blown, bar outside the front of hotel with unbelievably rude staff, It could be so good, lovely place, great staff who go over the top to help, but badly managed and missed the goal by such a huge amount, but it could sadly be so good, and apologising doesn’t change anything, get it right by fixing the crap parts

Reviewed By Ann SSince my partner is into Roman history, we decided to go to Trier on a 2 day trip. I picked this hotel based on its good reviews and I must say: reviews never lie! The hotel is ideally located to discover all of the Unesco sites in Trier by foot. Furthermore, Trier is also a nice shopping city. We enjoyed the wide variety at the breakfast buffet (there's something for everybody, whether you're into greasy or healthy breakfast.) And there's even honey from their own bees. Getting a present because of my partner's 50th birthday, was really lovely. I would not hesitate for a second to pick this hotel next time we'd go to Trier, the city has so much to offer and the hotel is just perfect. For our entire 2 days in Trier, we did everything by foot and left the car on their parking lot which comes at 10 EUR/day but we definitely recommend it.

Room was a good size, really nice modern room and bathroom, everything in good condition with good storage for a few days stay. Shower was good. Bed was one of the new style foam and very comfortable and after the terribly hard bed we had in a hotel the previous night, was very much appreciated. Only had one pillow each and could have done with two, I am sure we could have got extra if we had asked but the staff leave site around 11pm and we were back later than that. We did not have breakfast as they were working on timed slots because of the size of the breakfast room and the only slot left was 7.30-8.30 which was too early for us (so tip, request your breakfast slot when booking the hotel). We knew there was a bakery a couple of doors down which also had a coffee machine, bought these and ate in our room, we had 2 chairs and a table area. The breakfast however looked good and only an extra 9euro. They had their own parking in a secure area for 9 euro but not sure if it would be sufficient for everyone arriving in a car. The hotel is about 5-10 min walk directly to the centre of town and felt quite safe. Trier is a great place to spend a day and evening. We found the hotel very quiet only the sounds of the city! Would stay again.

Reviewed By 173ilsemI have nothing negative to say about this hotel, from the moment we checked in until the moment we left, the guest is king, super friendly staff, rooms very clean and the food in the restaurants was outstanding. we had a weekend with wine tasting given to me for my 60th two years ago, because of the Corona virus, we were only able to go this year and it was well worth the wait, the first night was a three course dinner, breakfast was delicious and with sekt, second night four course dinner with wine, each wine explained and perfectly matched to each course,it really is a, Wine Romantik Hotel. I can recommend to wine and food lovers, also the cycling roots are breath taking.

Reviewed By A320CFIAs a family we used this hotel as a quick stop along the route and we were not disappointed. A genuine nice hotel and fairly priced. Good service, nice room sand nice surroundings. The hotel itself is little run down and the area slightly remote but with bits situation on the riverbank you cannot ask for a better view. We would happily stop again.

Reviewed By Ken WAn older style hotel, we visited on our motorcycle and the staff let us park the bike in their garage just across the road, we had a third floor room with a view to the castle. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of items. Rooms were well appointed for the price and the shower was good.

Reviewed By Farnham_FlyerMy second visit here and it didn't disappoint and was better than I remembered. The weather was great, so enjoyed a pleasant early evening drink in the beer garden. It goes without saying the beer is excellent. Good brasserie fare in the evening too. The breakfast though was the best of our European road trip with a great variety of items and a very hot ginger shot!
