Every aspect of the hotel and my stay was handled with the best care and attention. Everyone from reception, concierge, the breakfast team, housekeeping, and the bar staff, were absolutely delightful. Fantastic central location.

Located on the edge of Brno's centre, just a few minutes by public transport from the heart of the city. Hotel is part of a multi-purpose sports, culture and business complex and set next to the sport area and shopping centres. Villa Tugendhat is 500 m from the property. Czech and international cuisine can be enjoyed in the restaurant and cafe - bar. All air-conditioned rooms of the hotel feature satellite TV and internet access. Guests can enjoy numerous sports activities within the complex at an additional cost. Various café bars, shops and restaurants can be found in the vicinity. Garage parking safety. Reservation is not needed. Excellent transport connection by car from D1 into all major traffic routes.

Reviewed By PragueDBThe breakfast was very good and the room comfortable. The location is fine, although on a busy road - there is a nice walk to the city through a park. Free wi-fi. Firstly, one of the reasons that we booked the hotel was to have access to the pool. We found once we arrived that it was out-of-order. We should have been notified about this in advance. We had no hot water for the first 24 hours - this was fixed after a couple of hours, but how did House Keeping not know? The shower hose was also exposed from its metal casing and broke during a shower - this was again fixed quickly, but how did House Keeping not see it? There is no shower curtain which means you cannot shower without soaking the floor. The AC does not work - it only blows air. There was a lot noise in the evenings from youths drinking (illegally) outside the entrance to the hotel. Poor choice of TV channels.

Reviewed By jorcoru1The hotel is good, but they have changed the manager and also many people from the staff members, they have not put us in the type of room we booked. It is a real pity, we recommend you to book always a room with views to the square, we are coming for almost 10 years and it is the first time when they have made a mistake.

Horrendous Experience
Reviewed By trotamundos0881After a long drive, we arrived at this hotel without any greeting or welcome whatsoever. Instead, the male staff member on duty (Denis) stated dryly that he still was “helping another guest,” even though no one else was present at the desk! So we stepped aside and waited. We then were assigned a tiny, dingy, badly worn and not particularly clean room. When I inquired about a Marriott Gold upgrade (as we proactively have received at many other Marriott properties around the world without request), the staff seemed badly put out, and merely assigned us another room that appeared to be exactly the same. Even though the hotel seemed to be completely empty, we were told that was the best they could do. All of that was fine — it’s just a Courtyard after all, not a Ritz. But the real kicker came when I asked to speak to the manager on duty and was told that not only was there no manager on duty, but there was not even a manger on call, as the hotel manager (Ms. Mlodzikova apparently) did not wish to speak to guests on her day off. This was a complete first for me at any hotel, let alone a Marriott property. When I insisted, Denis finally and very reluctantly said he would phone the hotel General Manager (whose name I did not catch). Denis then reappeared some time later to inform me that he had spoken to the General Manager, but that he was hiking with his family and absolutely would not be speak to guests! So without any management recourse, we did something we have never before done at any hotel: we simply left and found more suitable accommodations elsewhere. Having stayed at countless Marriott properties worldwide, I can say without doubt that both the facilities and the staff at this property are not up to par, and that this failure evidently emanates from the very top from a management team that displays a troublesome disdain for its guests.

Reviewed By fezojkHotel building comes from 1962 and it is not very atractive for me but it offers good location with amazing view on castle Spilberk. Also service is great and I must say that my expectations were exceeded. Room was large and modern offering minibar, coffee machine, bathtub and bath amenities which included toothbrush or shaving razor. We had some mixed drinks in lobby bar, they were very good. Breakfast was the best and I liked the restaurant were it is served and very professional staff. Only two things were very strange - minibar price list and parking rates. I do not understand this strategy, what a shame.

Butter pate and jam warm and melted not kept chilled . Temperature of 30 degrees c renders them well gooey. Fruit juices always warm as not kept chilled. No Aircon in breakfast area yet there is in adjoining reception. Avoid breakfast unless it's winter.

Reviewed By Danguolė KHave you ever stood in the middle of food area for 10 minutes waiting for any warm food? Yep - no sausages, no becon, no salad. Butter? - cut a piece from general plate, chocolate butter or honey? - from one general pot, sugar - one pot in all room. And the room was crowded with people trying to figure out how to feed their family. Forget about fruits or pie - they even cut off the size of coffe - less then half of cup for coffe latte. Just look at the pictures...

Reviewed By LukasR292I slept here during business trip again, as many times. Unfortunately due to Covid restriction the hotel was almost empty, restaurant closed, it´s pretty depressing. As usually receptionists were nice, willing. I used fitness, which is modest but convenient. My room was clean, beds are very comfortable. I like local breakfast, you can order even food from kitchen - served omelette, eggs, etc. Staff - very nice again. Comparing to other hotels this one is also the most expensive in Ostrava. I will come back for sure and can recommend.

In case you are looking for an accommodation where you would feel at home, book one of our apartments. You would always have at least one separate bedroom, a private bathroom with a bathtub or a shower, and a fully equipped kitchen or kitchenette. Some of the apartments have their own rooftop terrace.

Reviewed By b2mishraThis place is centrally located, and is very cheap. I stayed in a single room with shared toilets. The place was sparkling clean. The toilets were cleaned multiple times during the day. It is walking distance from everything in Brno, including the train station.

Reviewed By H3193RLannamNice hotel, good rooms, fair location. Too bad the staff is not friendly or professional. The girl that checked us in on March 29th looked annoyed. Same thing for the lady at the Brasserie restaurant during breakfast. There was another girl also in the breakfast room that did not speak English, not acceptable for a 4 star hotel. Positive note: the only smile we witnessed at this hotel came from the girl that checked us out, the exception. Our Reservation number 1524487
