Bad service, dangerous showers, cheating tourists
Reviewed By Stepan2We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights after Bonito. positives: clean room, good breakfast negatives: my girlfriend recieved electric shock in bathroom, noone come to repair it, so no shower second day. Lady in reception was only laughing!!!!In the evening we wanted to drink some beers, they absolutely neglected us, we had to open the bottles ourselves with own accesories. We wanted also visit Pantanal - estrada do parque, manager arranged some guy, 4 hours, no service, 500 reais. And in the end - during our check out, they wanted to pay it one more time. For the owners: This is not the way, leart at Bonito. For other travelers: Pantanal is nice, book your tour in Bonito, or do it by yourself - you can drivexestrada do parque with normal vehicle - no problem (had Ford Ka)

Reviewed By Joop VThis hotel was once a colonial villa, changed into a hotel, but still very authentic with a lot of woodcarving art. We had room Ariranha, A nice spacy room with a good bed an shower, but too noisy because of the traffic, although the room had no view to the road. The hotel has an internal travel agency which could be handy if it was not so expensive. A/C is good but also a bit noisy. Wifi is ok. The breakfast room and table looks very nice and there is a great variety of food, unfortunately the quality is not as good as it looks. The swimming pool is small and not that clean. Parking in front of the hotel is free. The female owner is not so nice, she is bullying her personal around, especially Celine, who is a nice and helpful woman, working hard for long hours.

Amazing personalised experience from the hosts at Meia Lua
Reviewed By Zamy12Meia Lua is a very special place. The ranch is a family-owned and managed working farm. Neto is an incredible host who missed no opportunities to make our experience special. Our group of 4, two couples, spent 3 nights at Meia Lua. The pousada is lovely, with a nice pool, hammocks, and simple but comfortable rooms. The wildlife was incredible. Numerous toucans and hyacinth macaws live in the trees and are routine visitors around the house, and we saw armadillo, 2 giant ant eaters, and 3 grey foxes without ever leaving the property. The food was unbelievable. Neto's Mom and Grandma made huge quantities of local and regional food, and eating with the family made it a really personal experience. From guiding us for horseback riding, showing us the local spots in town, organising our snorkelling trip to Bonito, guiding us on walks in the jungle on the property, and building great bonfires under the stars, Neto made everything easy and personalised. He is an excellent self-taught English speaker and was also excellent at logistics, like sending us a video showing the subtle turnoff from the main road to make it easy to find. Neto also organised our day trip to the wet Pantanal and accompanied us to make things easy and also get real time feedback on the various activities. If you want a boutique experience, great Pantanal wildlife, and thoughtful service, this is your place. Cannot recommend it enough!!!

A lovely place in a beautiful surrounding
Reviewed By Chip EOur Insider Group of 17 Intrepid Travellers of a certain age from Switzerland, Germany, UK, US, Canada, Brazil and Cambodia are having exclusive use of the beautiful pousada for 3 nights. It is located in an ideal part of the Pantanal for excursions by roadk river and on foot. Esmiria and her dedicated team of cooks, helpers, drivers and guides are taking excellent care of us. The food is excellent (and was topped last night by an amazing barbecue!) , the rooms are spacious and comfortable as are the public areas. There is even a lovely swimming pool. We highly recommend a stay here. Special thanks also to our private guides Rogerio and Hiter, as well as our excellent driver, Paulinho.

Hotel for fishing
Reviewed By Joop VThis hotel is located just west outside Miranda on the road to Corumba. It is a bit hard to spot, for it is going down from the road on the river Miranda. We didn't stay there, but had a lunch which was quite nice. They make their own fish specialties for a fair price. The hotel looks a bit old and needs maintenance. A lot of sport fishers stay there, also because boats and fish equipment are for hire. For that they made a good platform in the water.
