Good concept but not out of season
Reviewed By SeaLifeLoverWe'd originally booked two nights, as a base to visit other places in the area, but quickly came to realise that was not a good idea. Although the hotel itself was great - well designed room, which was spacious and great bathroom, and it was centrally located, there was virtually nothing open in the resort. We asked for a restaurant suggestion - but never found it - or if we did, like everything else it was shut! In the hotel itself, which was virtually empty, the roof terrace was empty (no chairs), nor did the room balcony have chairs, so we couldn't sit out on it with a takeaway pizza (that being about the only thing open). We were supposed to get breakfast, which we asked for by 8am, but there was no sign of anyone about, so we gave up and went to a nearby cafe. When the receptionist-cum-breakfast person finally turned up, she apologied as she was 'having a bad morning'. Whilst I have some sympathy, and hope she got her problems sorted, we'd paid for a room with breakfast. Hey ho. We checked out - and to be fair after a bit of minimal resistence, she accepted that we weren't going to pay for the second night. So overall, in high season, this would be a great place to stay - but not outside it.

The location of the resort is ideal for excursions to the north and south of Puglia and to spend your holidays in a completely relaxed and funny atmosphere in direct contact with nature. At the Giardino degli Ulivi, you can still breath that atmosphere of peace which inspires love for the nature and for the little things of life.
Great place not to far from everything
Reviewed By Leo355Had a great experience! We went primarily for the beach and beach town that was only a 3 min drive. We arrived early and the staff recognized how tired we were from our long journey and quickly had a room prepared for us even though we were early! We really appreciated this! Breakfast was great- if you are looking for an American breakfast this is not the place, but a great traditional Italian spread is put out to enjoy with some great local items like figs and grapes and baked goods special to the region! Although we did not need it- the rooms are equipped with a kitchen and cooking equipment and a grocery store is not far away! The staff was great and kind and everything was clean. Thank you for a great three days!

Near to the sea
Reviewed By Bogdan Radu IThey expected us at the train station Barletta centrale as we agreed. Short trip by car, about 20 minutes we were there. Room : good size considering that we were 4 people, 2 adults 2 kids, but we spent as much as we could outside; in July or August I think it's hot so the AC will run most of the time; our room had a small pad facing the inner yard and the sea; if you are there in full season it might be noisy; Breakfast : do not expect at a continental choice; colazione means a couples of croissants and cofee, sometimes a fresh fruit; Lunch/dinner : we had half board, if you travel with kids is a must; you can choose to eat for lunch or dinner; first choose usually pasta, second one fish or meat; fruits for the kids, water and a glass of wine; the food was very good; if you want to eat out, a 10-15 minute walk to the restaurant on lungomare where you have some choices, but mostly for dinner; Beach : clean water and sand, organized, suitable for children; also, there is small playground for the kids; Staff : Italian speaking, but they did their best to accommodate us; the entertainment team were there just one day, it think it was the first day for the season, they were setting things up; Overall a very pleasant stay, buy if you travel with small children I recommend the start or the end of the season.

Reviewed By BitzoneThis B&B is the best I've seen so far! It is close to everything: beach, restaurants, coffe bar, supermarket... you name it. No problem with the parking in the area, no problem with the wifi (available, compared to previous reviews). The place is incredible: the room is very clean and beautiful, complete with refrigerator (filled with water daily), the open kitchen with coffe available non-stop, the home-like athmosphere. We (family of two + 3 year old boy) really felt like home here. Viviana (the host) is great, very nice and helpful, with good reccomendations (restaurants, beach, etc.). We even got discounts when we mentioned where we stayed based on previous agreements. If you search for a place to stay in the area: this is it!

Good place to stay
Reviewed By Sol RMy wife and I bicycled from Matera to Hotel Belvedere on our way to the Gargano peninsula. The woman at the reception greeted us warmly but told us that the restaurant was closed because it was off season. We did not want to have to bike the 1-1/2 km back into town and asked about a taxi. They said that they would drive us into town and bring us back. They took us to a local delicious seafood restaurant and picked us up afterwards. The hotel was SPOTLESS! ! One of the cleanist we have stayed in.

Perfect beach location
Reviewed By Bammy1972We were greeted by the owner Anita, who was very welcoming. The 2 rooms we booked for 7 people were immaculately clean and the location was perfect. We had our own shower, toilet and bidet along with a fridge which allowed us to store food and drink for our stay. There is a supermarket and bakery next door so all we needed was close to hand. Anita was also very accommodating and asked us what breakfast we preferred - she fully catered to our needs along with her husband, who even provided freshly squeezed orange juice for our teenagers. The beach was very close and took no more than 5 minutes to walk to. Anita's relationship with Lido Nettuno meant we were given a discount for the hire of sunbeds and umbrella. The location overall was perfect - within walking distance of the main Piazza and strip of restaurants and shops. We had an amazing 3 days and could not fault our stay at all. Thank you Anita for your hospitality and knowledge. I would highly recommend these apartments
