10 hotels in Lewiston: Best hotel deals for 2023

July 1, 2022 Kiesha Cripe

A city steeped in history, Lewiston traces its beginnings to the Lewis and Clark Expedition. In 1805, the famed explorer team came to the confluence of the Clearwater and Snake rivers, now the site of twin cities Lewiston, Idaho, and Clarkston, Washington. Pick any weekend of the year for your stay: Lewiston has a uniquely dry, temperate climate, ideal for year-round recreational activities. Whitewater rafting, kayaking, swimming, fishing, tubing, canoeing and jet boating opportunities are plentiful - and that's only the water sports. Landlubbers can golf, camp, hike, jog and bicycle. For the truly adventurous, a trip to Hells Canyon, the deepest canyon in North America, is a must. Those who venture into the gorge, via raft or jet boat, will discover 2,500-year-old Native American carvings on the canyon walls. Try your hand at indoor risk with a visit to the Clearwater River Casino. Whether braving the rapids or browsing through pioneer artifacts in the city's museums, you're sure to get a taste of the indomitable spirit of the early American settlers.

Decent hotel. Very clean with a nice fitness room. Breakfast selection was good. Staff was friendly and helpful. The views on the river side are fantastic. The rates are steep but given what other hotels are doing are not much worse than nearby options.

I stayed at the FairBridge Inn & Suites Lewiston during the weekend of NAIA Baseball. But was actually in town for HS graduation! The Front Desk was helpful and friendly. When I got to my room it was clean, spacious and quiet. I was on the 4th floor overlooking the town of Lewiston with great views! The continental hot waffle & biscuit and gravy breakfast was a great start to the day! I'd stay at the FairBridge again!

Decent but needs deeper cleaning

Reviewed By Ellmmo

It's a decent Hampton. I've stayed several times. The view rooms have good views, although the windows are small. It's probably one of the better choices in town. However, the carpets in the views are really dirty. If you end up on ground level, you will notice the lack of attention to detail -- -dust bunnies, trash, hair, etc. Seeing that level of detail makes me wonder what surfaces were not cleaned well, either. Also, while you can do digital check in, the rooms require a physical room key to turn the lights on. They really need to change that. Last, they do not turn on the heat in the hallways leading to the rooms! They are freezing in cold weather. Someone is trying to save money at the expense of the guests.

They apparently price gouge on weekends because Lewiston is a hot spot destination??? I paid it because I was traveling across country solo and didn't think it was safe to drive any further. The front desk clerk felt bad, but there I don't believe she had any control over the situation. No breakfast. I drive from Portland to New York and this was probably the lowest quality hotel at the most expensive price.

Exterior is burned from a fire, code violation in room, bathroom not cleaned

Reviewed By Charlie S

I travel a lot for work, and generally find the Super 8 brand to be a consistently good value across the country. Generally you get a clean, barebones but functional room at a fair price. This property was a disappointment. The exterior is burned from a fire that occurred in April 2021 and half the building is still closed due to that fire. Upon getting to my room, the light switch did not work, so I ended up having to fumble around in the dark to find a light to turn on. None of the lights functioned using the light switch which is a code violation. One of the lamps in the room had an extremely crooked shade that could not be corrected. Upon using the bathroom, there was quite a bit of hair on the floor and an used contact. People working there were always very friendly, which was the only saving grace for this stay. I'll continue to use the Super 8 brand, but I will not stay at this location again.

Pick another place!

Rolled in late night after I-84 was closed - forcing us to reroute thru Lewiston. Simply needed a place for a few hours, then back on the road. Older gentlemen behind the desk had to "phone a friend" to simply check me into a room. Took 20 minutes just for that part. Room stunk (bad!), shower water had a high pitch squeal, sink has no stopper in it, tub is brown on the bottom, beds are wore out, towels were so thin you need 2 just to dry off (seemed like they were so old they were breaking down). All bedding appeared to be original with the building (70's-80's) Oh, and no elevator either. All this, and they charged me $136! This is a $70 place.
