Reviewed By Aleksandar AWe stayed for two days in Hotel Karlštejn . It was a lovely stay for our family. Staff is extremely friendly and the castle is beautiful. If you are visiting the castle Do keep in mind that it is not open on Mondays.

Friendly staff, clean hotel, beautiful area
Reviewed By Kyle NQuaint hotel with a friendly staff. Gave us a great recommendation for dinner down the street (Taverna U Esopa). Rode bikes here from Prague and it was a beautiful scenic ride with trees, cottages, and small towns along the way. Accommodations were clean and modern. Hot water was a little spotty but that was it.

Reviewed By decline421Enjoyed by two of us, Koruna was a very basic but very pleasant stay. Whilst the room had no fridge, tea/coffee facilities, aircon etc. it was very spacious (sofa, chairs, own entry hall), with decent sized bathroom and plenty of storage and hanging space. Pity the bedside lights didn't work but no doubt they will get fixed. We like to read in bed - boning up on the forthcoming excursions (art history / architecture experience in the castle). It was also nice to wake up to look out of the window at the castle. Room decor definitely dated (query retro?) and rather pleasant. Very helpful and pleasant lady in charge. Breakfast very basic but in the context of things very agreeable. Says it has free wifi but we didn't need it or try it. If you go by car, ask about parking as it could be problematic (not on site). Hotel has its own restaurant (inside and out), We didn't try it. Sometimes no frills are just what meet the need and this was just such a case. Definitely worth a go if you are like us.

Reviewed By keithflowWe stopped in after the castle for food. We had fried cheese and cabbage soup. Both were VERY good! English is a bit splotchy but you can get by! We had no problems. Friends had the potato pancake with ham and loved it.

Reviewed By Juraj CGreat value for the price. Room was big and clean with small fridge and TV. The only down side was smell from the kitchen. Not too much but noticeable mostly in the morning. I would still recommend this place.

Reviewed By Andrius VWe used this hotel to stay overnight to see the Karlstejn castle while driving through Czech Republic. The staff were pretty helpful during out check out and check in. The room itself was not big, but fairly well-fitted, having a small fridge and a tv. The hotel is located about less than 10 minutes from Karlstejn by car, so it is possible to cycle there too, however I'm not sure about getting there by foot. The only drawback I think is worth mentioning is that sometimes trains run during the night on the other side of the river, so it could wake you up if you're a light sleeper.
