Room are a class on their own. Not too exquisite but qives you the ambience of a home. Rooms are big and well equipped. With a swimming pool to keep you relaxed. Rrceptionist were friendly and accomodating. Meals local and intercontinental were nice. Lots of green to give a clean environment. On a whole, a place I can always come back to.

A visit will surely captivate you and bring you back. Rooms are nice, pool side is great and the reception was standard. Definitely an hotel to spend your money to have a good night rest.

Reviewed By Ademola OWas in Kano with a team on official business and we stayed in Tahir for 3 nights. Arrived with high expectations having heard it was one of the best in town. Our stay was nice generally. The hotel has a lot pf potential but it will need to step up to rank side by side with top hotels in other parts of the country. The positives 1. Big spacious rooms with functional air conditions 2. Free and fast wifi (the best i've used in recent times) 3. Located in a secure environment 4. Car hire service, pharmacy and a restaurant serving intercontinental dishes are located within the premises 5. Neat bathrooms with hot water available 6. Swimming pool and mini play ground for children 7. Staff are generally courteous 8. Hotel is busy and quite lively till late in the night (if you don't mind the noise) 9. Solid physical structure though undergoing expansion. The negatives 1. Front desk staff need some training on customer service. 2. My shower did not drain properly so water collected at my feet while taking a shower. 3. Rooms are big but décor is quite basic 4. Restaurant staff can be quite noisy 5. No flask for hot water in the restaurant. You need to request for hot water and a staff goes to get it for you. 6. Menu is limited. For more options you will need to go to Cilantro the Chinese restaurant on premises. 7. Pool was a bit filthy 8. No backup batteries for the lights so during changeovers or power cuts you are plunged into darkness till the generators come on or the changeover is completed. So while the hotel may be one of the best in Kano it still needs some work to rank at par with the top hotels on Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcout but the potential is definitely there. All in all my stay was a good one.

Receptionist/staff are friendly, rooms are clean with nice meals to go. Rooms are classy and give a some good relief of being in an hotel. Never felt better when compared to any hotel I have been to. A swimming pool and a mini golf potting area to keep you relaxed. No doubt, another visit to Kano will surely take me back to Porto Golf.

Staff are friendly and receptive. Clean and sane environment. Lots of parking for guests. Although meals are pricey but no doubt a place to be.

The hotel is a new hotel in town, with State of the art finishing, the hotel is furnished with superior interiors. We have 36 rooms with inbuilt toilets, split unit air conditioners and flat screen televisions. It is a perfect atmosphere for perfect minds.

Kano can be a congested city and any hotel which offers the convenience of an events hall is a blessing in that town. At least one can stay in the hotel and attend their event without any hassles.
