Reviewed By dkgupta49I stayed in this hotel for one night during my recent visit to Jorhat. The hotel is inside the byelanes of busy AT Road. Near HDFC bank to be precise. The check in procedure was quick. The room size is not big but sufficient for 2 people. Few suggestions 1. Keep a provision for hot water 2. As Jorhat is in east, Sun rise early.The curtain in the room are not dark coloured.So one can not sleep in the Sunlight. The food is vegetarian. I recommend to try their Khichdi with raita. Delicious. Must try. The breakfast is not buffet but you can order as per your choice and they will serve in your room as well. Service is flawless and staff is very helpful. Definitely recommend this hotel if you are in Jorhat.

A glorious stay amidst the tea gardens of Jorhat
Reviewed By Saumitra66Nestled amidst the omnipresent tea gardens of Jorhat region in Assam, we came across three hidden jewels. The jewels that I am mentioning are actually three beautiful heritage properties which have been converted into resorts. The names of these properties are Kaziranga Golf Resort, The Banyan Grove and The Thengal Manor. Although, the properties are under the same management, yet they are uniquely different from one another with subtle nuances in their characters. We were lucky to have been given a tour of all three by our gracious host Mr. Sandeep Baruah. I almost must not forget Syed Aman at The Thengal Manor for his kind hospitality. Ultimately, we stayed over at the golf resort facility. It was just one night's stay, yet we (I and my wife) were absolutely enchanted by the beauty, the surroundings, the tranquility, the hospitality of the entire team. Having had the opportunity to stay at some of the excellent properties across the country and beyond, I was amazed at the services with a soul, rendered by a very young team of locally recruited youth. Just to mention about the facilities in a nut shell, they are of international standards. But what takes the cake is the heartwarming attitude of Sandeep and his team, in addition to the magnificent atmosphere. The only negative I have observed is the PWD road leading to the facilities, which needs to be improved by the local authorities. In addition, improved air connectivity to Jorhat would be a blessing.

Reviewed By TamalikaM2We went for a short outing to Thengal Manor in Sep'21. The entry fees was 150 per head and does not include any complimentary tea or snacks. There are rooms for guests to stay and some rooms open for outside visitors, which houses many antiques. There is a swimming pool at the entry and huge area to roam around. We went for tea and light snacks , but you can also avail lunch there. Overall, good place near Jorhat to spend few hours.

Reviewed By MouchumiduttaGreat quiet location, really pleasant and clean rooms. The thing that makes the place a good place to stay are the staffs. All staffs are incredibly helpful. Loved their home style food. Free parking is there. Thanks for making my stay much better. Love it.

Reviewed By 733shelleyvOnce I had aired my room for a few hours and thrown out the moth balls that they put in men's urinals I was able to use my room. Outside my room, in the garden I collected...a sock, used ear cleaners, plastic bottle tops, packing, pieces of foil, used coffee and milk packets...plastic bottles. The manageress got a couple of her staff to clear up. I went off to Kaziranga golf course for lunch, during which time my family had lunch at Banyan, and told me it was rubbish on my return. The next morning there was more litter over by their magnificent Banyan tree. I got the gardeners and a staff member to pick some of it up, because this litter is spread about over the whole property. A staff member picked some of it up and then threw it down the bank towards the river. Incomptent staff means incompetent management. I really can recommend the Kaziranga golf resort, which belongs to the same group of three hotels, but which has a different manager. There was no litter there, which just shows that Indians ARE capable of using bins. My family had dinner at Banyan, and told me the next day that wasn't good either. So I would recommend staying at the golf course instead.

Reviewed By MTACCHISo if you come to North East India, you’re probably here for animal viewing or tea. I’m hear on business, my first hotel (see lower review) almost made me resign and go home.. Prism doesn’t represent well online, but let me assure you it’s much better than a Novotel, Four Points or Hilton Garden. The location is good, but most of all the rooms are new and modern. I am not scared to take my clothes off in bed or use the washroom. Being careful not to over sell it, I’ll leave you with this. If this is you’re first stop in India from the west, you’ll be comfortable here. If you’ve been in India awhile as I have, you’ll be over the moon. I’m in room 310 - some street noise but very good!

Invasion of Guest Privacy - Unacceptable Behavior!!
Reviewed By Subbu090102I stayed here overnight for a business visit and had to catch my flight from Jorhat Airport. The shower in my room was not working and the staff got me a bucket of water, this can happen and was ok with me I closed the door once the staff left. What surprised me the most was just while I was taking bath an housekeeping staff entered my room using a masterkey and was staring at me. When I realised someone had entered my room, I was shocked. I had to ask the person to leave. This is clearly an invasion of privacy and totally unacceptable in any kind of hotel. Imagine a lady colleague or a female member of our family goes through this situation? It will probably amount to harassment. After this incident, I went to complain at the reception and contacted the General Manager of the hotel who is probably a new joinee. The sad part is he did not even turn up to see me and in all probability this incident means nothing to them. I suggest any other guests travelling to this hotel to be careful and it's best you lock your room to avoid any unpleasant and embarrassing experience.

Bad experience
Reviewed By manoj1309Stayed just 8 hours ,it’s a ok ok property with very very bad service and housekeeping.No drinking water in rooms even after 3 calls,no towels that also after 2-3 calls to reception,no breakfast even having booked with bfast.Checked in at midnight past 12 and checked out at 3pm same day they charged full tarrif for two days.Front desk is hopeless,since it’s situated on national highway,lot of noise by passing vehicles make me try hard to sleep.Far Better options available in jorhat like the manor at same tarrif.

Reviewed By SivajiBasuLarge and clean rooms. But bathrooms need urgent improvement. Towels should be replaced with New ones. Friendly staff (but not very helpful). Centrally located. Decent breakfast spread although vegetarian only. On the downside 1) Bathroom floor is extremely slippery. No hand grips either. 2) No hot water in the evening unless you specifically ask them to start hot water. Need to wait for at least 45 minutes before the water gets hot.
