So much more than expected - amazing staff and resort

We originally planned our stay from February 18th to 23rd however because of your team, we extended another two nights regardless of the cost. Above and beyond: the staff EVERYWHERE were amazing and so helpful. It was my birthday and our anniversary, Anna and Adjas in reception made sure it was extra special and that we were treated great. The GO team including the instructors were incredible. Always up for a chat and helpful. Shoutout to the ski instructors Stefan, Alexis and Philip who were great instructors and great people to mix with. The GO team around the bar in the evening were very outgoing and engaging. Shout out to Appy, Martin, Milk, Anna, Adjas, Ellie, Cammy and many more. Chef Rudy gave us the most amazing food- I mean the BEST! Gym for days after this holiday! Ricardo also who was there lunch and dinner, constantly giving us what we needed before we asked (morning coffees, lunch and dinner wine ;) ) If I'm being honest, I wouldn't have ever considered Club Med before as it wouldn't usually be our kind of holiday due to price but because of the team, we loved it and will be returning next year with friends! The ski resort itself was perfect due the fact that it had beginner slopes and then also difficult slopes for a mix range of levels. The hotel facilities had the bar, different restaurants, evening shows and a jacuzzi (best thing for after a day skiing). Thank you again Club Med Beidahu!

Clean and sufficient
Reviewed By SingaporeSnowI had to stay in Jilin for a night in winter as I wanted to see rime which can only be viewed in the early hours of the morning. The choice was between this hotel which cost about USD 30 or the better hotels in Jilin which cost about USD 80. Budget was not an issue but I read on other reviews that the better hotels had problems with peeling paint, hot water supply, cleanliness and most importantly, heating issues. The hotel's location is good as there are a few eateries and restaurants a stone throw's away and the nearby Song Hua Jiang river is lovely for a night's stroll as all the buildings along the river were colorfully lit up at night. So I gave this hotel a try. It is part of the Super 8 chain of hotels. I must say that I was satisfied with the service at the reception and the room was reasonably comfortable. There was hot water although the water pressure was rather low. Towels were provided and the air-conditioner in the room allowed me to adjust the temperature to my preference. There was a clean kettle and mineral water was supplied at a cost - only RMB 2 per bottle. The room and bedlinen were very clean, everything was in working order. Bearing in mind the inexpensive price, one really cannot ask for more. There was a selection of condoms at the bedside so this hotel is probably not for children but otherwise makes a good stopover night's stay.

Reviewed By dr_bird_23I was here for one night only. It is a typical Chinese style luxury hotel. Huge lobby, large rooms, long walks... My room was clean, the bed comfy. No complaints. The breakfast was more dedicated to the Chinese guests, but fresh fruits, some cereals, toast and eggs made a good breakfast for me. Coffee is not their premium beverage. Summary: Pretty sure, that it is the best hotel in Jilin, because I know the other two 5 star hotels. It appears a little bit cool, which comes from the large size and the huge amounts of marble. I didn't feel comfortable from the beginning, but after the night I would assume to book it again.

Reviewed By John RThe lobby of the hotel was very nice and communicating was not a problem. The morning breakfast was good. As another reviewer mentioned the beds were very hard but I was still able to sleep. Every morning I would wake up with some new insect bites. Having stayed in an apartment before which had bed bugs, I am certain this hotel had a bed bug problem. I counted about 12 bites over the 3 nights I stayed there. Next time if I have to stay in this hotel I will make sure to get a deluxe room.

Reviewed By viktoriyak933One of the best hotels in Jilin. Western style, world class service. Pleasant stay. Good place for wedding and special occasion venues. Has portier at the door and nice interior. A bit pricy but Definitely worth the money for a quality you receive.

A good Night's Sleep at a good price
Reviewed By MattwalesNorthWalesNo frills hotel chains like this or the 7 days ones give you a clean and comfortable place to spend the night without any of the little extras that you might find in some more expensive establishments. Here, the room was 80% taken up by a very large and very comfortable bed. You have a modern flat screen TV, but I couldn't for the life of me work out how to use it! There was also a computer in each room that was free to use. The bathroom was clean and the hot water, whilst not boiling was OK. The worst thing for me was the toilet that was, to save space, sandwiched between the shower and the sink. To sit on it meant you had to be a contortionist! The stay was very comfortable and, because the window was damaged, not too hot! The elevator was a little old and small to cope with the size of the hotel, but on the whole a very pleasant stay.

Nightmare forever
Reviewed By LindaIt is such an awful place I'd ever stayed. The carpet is so filthy. Not only you can not tell its color, there are stains and dirt everywhere. Fortunately, we brought our own slipper so we never have to set our feet on it. The water is sort of yellow color. We have to use drinking water to rinse everytime after brushing teeth. Also, the AC is not fully run in the room, we have to fan ourselves to sleep every night. If it is in early evening, the lobby area is a little bit cold, but people smoke everywhere. The last night we stayed, my daughter got 17 moquito bites, all in one night. Breakfast is so so, it is Chinese style meal. However, eating in the stainless seel tray, give you a feeling like eating in concentration camp. DO NOT CHOOSE THIS PLACE if you want to keep good memory about your vaction. I have no choice but stay there because it was reserved for us by someone who we do not want to disappoint them.
