We stayed here during the Dinagyang weekend and the rate was not that pricey yet the location is very accessible and the room was clean and the beds were very comfy, like a luxury stay but not so. Haha! The bathroom was also spacious and clean. Although we had some problem with the thermostat. Another good thing about this hotel is the staff are very nice and accommodating. Even the security guards are friendly and helpful. For an affordable but great stay in Iloilo, I'd definitely recommended this one!

Thanks to Geraldin and Alby at the front desk for making sure minor issues are resolved quickly. I also want to commend the staff at the Ani restaurant. They are all very helpful and friendly. Shoutout to Tanya, Jane and Shanine and to the rest whom i missed the names.

A Delightful Quarantine Stay
Reviewed By denisetolentinoI chose this hotel for my quarantine requirement upon arrival to the city and I am so glad I did. For only P1500 a night you get a clean, charming and well-appointed room. (room has a mini fridge, hair dryer, safety deposit box, and a 5 gallon container of drinking water) Coordinating was easy because the helpful hotel staff made sure to communicate with me regarding their protocols. I was asked to use the service entrance and head straight to my room where my key card was waiting on a chair by the door. The meals (which were only a minimal extra charge) were also left on this chair so I had little to no contact with any staff. (Side note: The meals were also good! I was also allowed to order anything via delivery app like Grab or Food Panda as long as payments were settled via the app.) The hotel staff also helped me take care of my clearance certificate and coordinated with the city's quarantine facility. I did not expect my quarantine stay to be so comfortable and delightful. :) Kudos to the management and staff of Smallville 21 Hotel.

Reviewed By Skree358We got this room as a complimentary stay from friends. We've been to several hotels in the city, and so far, their swimming pool is the best we've been to. After the pandemic, most pools here in the city are no longer maintained and well looked into, no towels provided or not even a lifeguard on duty. This one is an exception, you can even order food while on the pool. Room is spacious and quiet, you can get your well deserved privacy, unlike in other hotels where you can even hear when someone passes by your room. Room service is top notch, I would say that they are operating in full capacity unlike other hotels which are still understaffed. Plenty of options for the breakfast buffet. Check in and check out is almost as effortless. Parking area is not a problem. I would say this hotel is the best one in the city, but it is also the most expensive. Hope they could offer promotions and discounts so we could frequent our staycations here.

Swimming pool is green and slimy

As a regular of this hotel with at least 10 staycations before the pandemic, I would say that our experience this time around is short of our expectations. We were asked to pay for using the pool at 500 per person, worse is that no towels are provided, you have to use towels provided in your rooms, also, no welcome drink this time. The pool's water is green, walls are slimy. The pool water is stagnant. My kids just dipped in to the pool for a few minutes, I took this picture and soon after they left. The next day, we were robbed of our breakfast buffet as they redirected us to the restaurant on the other building. They said they will prepare for Mother's Day buffet so no buffet breakfast will be served. It is unfortunate that you paid the full amount but get abysmal service from this hotel.
