I will try to describe my experience below: Rooms and installations: Based on the pictures I have seen in the internet and also considering the price, my expectation was set as high, but... as soon as I made the hotel and visit the room that they would reserve to us, I confess I was a bit disappointed. Firstly, I did reserve an apartment and they gave me the keys of chalet. We visit the chalet and asked by the reserved apartment, it was not ready but, the release it fastly. The construction are very old and what we saw in the internet is only the most expensive rooms, which host 6 people. Restaurant: It is a big room, many tables and one big wood burning stove. The chairs are very dirty, many birds flying into the restaurant (I suppose they are the responsible for the chairs dirty). The r.ood is good! Many options for the lunch as for the dinner... the taste and the temperature of food is good! Internet: The hotel area is big, because of that, we cannot expect to have good signal in the whole area. The restaurant is very close to the reception, there the internet is good. Entertainment area: I could not take advantage of everything due to the cold weather. There are two swimming pools (indoor and outdoor) and the indoor one, looks dirty. There is a big lake, with some pedal boats and stand up paddle available for free, it is possible to fish as well. The games room has some snooker tables, ping-pong table and two foosball tables. Positive points: the attendance since the arriving was good, with some small point to improve, but it is irrelevant. Negative points: the installation and construction is old and must to be improved. The hotel accepts pets, there are many dogs walking and using beds, hammocks, blankets and etc. I am allergic to animal's hair and it was not good to me during my stayed. There is so much to play and sport on the hill, you can play beachball, billiard, swim, play soccer.... Breakfast is ok. We used the hotel as stopover before driving to Rio to fly home. It was much more relaxing than staying in the city which we did on the way to Belo. Hotel is simple, no luxury. But it is ok. They even have computers for free surfing, and a tv couch.

Reviewed By Karen MThe rooms are large but like all Brazilian hotels there are no jugs and tea/coffee facilities in the rooms and the plumbing is always a bit “suspect”. Ie. no toilet paper in the loo! The staff at this hotel does not generally speak English, which makes check out a bit slow but they are very nice and very helpful. The breakfast is truly amazing and better than most five star hotels. In addition to the huge selection of cakes, breads etc at the buffet, the staff is also very keen to cook you an individual breakfast. Location is very good, right in the centre of the town and opposite the park...but although it is a public park it is surrounded by a high fence and you have to pay to get in.

Reviewed By A3610UNlilianmMe and my daughter had to stay in Juiz de Fora for 2 weeks for health recovery and they dealt with us like nothing. Not good with clients at all, non-smiling, slow recepcionist. Pretty bad food and questionable cleaning !And I've paid all in cash!

Even though I have contacted the administration four days prior the check in, they couldn’t do anything and I had to pay another room. My problem was not about the lack of flexibility, but the delay.

Worst IBIS experience
Reviewed By etzkornWhen travelling to locations i haven't been before, I tend to rely on my experience, that the IBIS Hotels are a solid choice, clean and with a comparable standard. The IBIS Juiz de Fora was by far my worst experience with IBI so far. The staff is friendly, location is OK. BUT: The infrastructure of the building is a mess, the walls in my room (564) were black from mold, the air was really humid and with a bad smell. The staff excused this with the wet season and humid air, and that the mold would be removed freuqently. In my room it didn't look like this, both in the bathroom and in the bedroom were big black dots, even the curtains were full of mold.

Nice view, nice accomodation
Reviewed By Gioia CMe and my boyfriend spent just one night at the Inn Hotel Petropolis but it was sufficient to appreciate the beauty of the city and the astonishing view from the spacious rooftop. The room is of standard dimension, nevertheless it's comfortable for two people; the breakfast is very good and it offers a wide selection of food; personnel is super polite and they are at the disposal of the client at any time. Very Nice Inn!
