Terrible place I would avoid
Reviewed By 123fordRooms are tiny, old, damaged and very poor quality. Stayed here with a family of four and generally our expectations aren’t that high but this is one of the worst places we’ve stayed. Walls had holes in them, doors were all scratch and kitchen dirty. Be aware that the so say fitness room is a couple of broken cross trainers and the pool is ok but really small. We did complain whilst we were there and once we returned via the agent vacances-lagrange.com but received nothing not even much of an apology. The only positive was that we had amazing views over the mountains, it must be terrible for those who stayed the other side of the building who just had a view of other rooms. Personally I would avoid.

The property is located in the heart of Cauterets, 200m from the gondola to the ski area, and 350m from the spa center. We offer accommodation from room for 2 people to apartment for 12 people. Some rooms are duplex. All studios and apartments are equipped with a functional kitchenette (hob, fridge, microwave, cooking utensils, dishes), bathroom or shower, toilet, a living room with sleeping facilities. Most units have a balcony. The balneo area of 400m² with heated pools, jets and whirlpools, hammam and sauna are free access. The restaurant is open every evening (from 7pm to 8pm) and also offers half-board options. Children will enjoy the Magic Canopy, a play area on 3 floors (under the responsibility of parents). Paid covered parking is available, the number of places is limited. A buffet breakfast is served daily between 7:30am and 9:30am. For all stays, bathroom linen and bed linen are provided, beds are made upon arrival and end of stay cleaning is included (except kitchen area). A deposit for the apartment and cleaning will be requested upon arrival. The amount varies depending on the accommodation. Pets are welcome with a supplement.

Reviewed By shaz682017Stayed here for 1 night in February 2022, as a last minute decision for skiing. Hotel is OK, but the room could really do with being updated. The was 1 locker ( if that's what you could call it ) at one side of the bed. The bed was like about 3 ft off the floor with legs like spindles. It was like a roll out bed for choice of a better word, only you couldn't roll it. Why they don't invest in decent beds and charge an extra €20 a night , would be worth paying. There were 2 cheap metal chairs a dresser and a radiator on the wall that you had to turn button to switch on and adjust 1-8 on a switch, didn't know they make these anymore. It's a pity the room was such a let down as the hotel itself seems nice, soo central, long side a supermarket and just off the square, and the staff seemed nice.

A top class gîte In a tranquil space
Reviewed By Michael RSet in a spacious patch of green above the approaches to Cauterets, we couldn't ask for more. La gerante was so caring and welcoming and offered us a choice of spacious and spotlessly clean rooms, all with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains, and with tasteful furniture well beyond what you would expect. There is ample parking on the grass. The night was quiet and peaceful, far from the noise of the town. In the morning we were served a wholesome continental breakfast with homemade jams, but topped up with scrambled eggs and bacon. Our hostess was quite taken aback to hear that we had only come to see the town and set about persuading us to at least visit the spectacular cascade at Le Pont d'Espagne. Once tempted, we went even further and took the teleferique and chairlift up to the beautiful Lac de Gaube, all accessible without full hiking kit. We were very pleased to have found this comfortable secluded and friendly accommodation for which we paid €75 for a double room with breakfast.

Plutot qu'un hotel traditionnel, c'est en chambres d'hotes que vous serez recu au "pas de l'ours ", l'hotel est totalement renove depuis 2010, le style des chambres en bois equipes de salle d'eau ( douche wc et lavabo) ainsi que la television a ecran plat dans chaque chambre. Sejours hiver ou ete aux abord du parc national a Cauterets , Bruno votre hote organise aussi des sejours ou tout est compris , decouvrez ses formules ( sejours raquette ou sejour rando l'ete.)

Reviewed By Melissa BThis was the second time I’ve stayed at this hotel; the first time in the gîte and this year in a hotel room. It was lovely, especially after several days walking and staying in refuges. The room was clean and nicely decorated in wood panelling. The staff are welcoming and funny. The breakfast is a plentiful buffet. It’s in a central location close to the Bains and to cafes, restaurants and the local market. Room 2 can pick up a bit of noise from people in the corridor as it is opposite the main landing on the 1st floor but no one was making any noise late at night or too early in the morning.
