A/C broken; really lame breakfast; room not adequately prepared

The auto feature did not work so we were up in the night turning it either on or off (when it got too cold). When I told the desk at checkout, I didn't even get an apology, let along a discount on the room rate. The room had 1/4 inch of toilet paper on the roll at check in with no extra roll, and the kleenex was empty. The breakfast was really lacking; all we wanted was oatmeal and it was watery and lukewarm -- should have been started in time to be ready for breakfast. Ridiculous at $200 a night, and eroded my good will towards Hampton as a reliable brand. Will not stay here again.

Great place to stay
Reviewed By jcenskeWe stayed for one night after my husband's LASIK eye surgery. Very clean and comfortable rooms, awesome FREE light meal at 5:30 pm called a kickback. They even give you up to three free drinks! I'm a beer snob, so they didn't have anything I liked, but it was still nice. The breakfast was good, including the coffee. The pool and hot tub were clean, and the temperature was great. My only complaint was the road noise from the highway, but I should've packed earplugs. The staff were very polite, and l loved that there were dogs in the hotel. They are pet-friendly, so if you're allergic or dead inside, this won't be the hotel for you.

The person then lost her mind and said she wasn’t going to put up with us disrespecting us. She actually called 911 because she thought we were rude !!!! We left there because jasmine seemed unsafe. I did not feel safe there knowing she had a way to get into my room I spoke to the manger on the phone and he was not able to help me He told me we could get a new room but after the way I was treated there was no way I was staying. She told us she was sick of dealing with people because her friend got murdered the night before . Like whAt? What’s that have to do with me or them booking me in an occupied room. I have never in my life had such a bad experience The lady was most definitely mentally ill or having a breakdown. She needs to not work there anymore.

Plenty of towels and love the wood type floors. Great price on extended parking and shuttle to the airport when needed! Easy to get to and very good restaurants within walking distance! COMFORTABLE STAY
Reviewed By Don DI was travelling alone and wanted a place I felt safe and quiet. This hotel worked out well for me. Although the rooms are a little older the bed was very comfortable with good bedding , there was good water pressure, the room was clean and the area was very quiet. I stayed four nights and if I wanted fresh towels all I had to do was add my name to a list each morning. What was really awesome is that my husband and I had stayed there years ago and there was a very sweet lady that worked in the dining area and she is still there!! Everyone was nice and polite.

Disappointed with the pool and hot tub
Reviewed By KellyMMichiganThe hot tub was cold and full of foam. The foam was dirty it looked like dead skin cells. The pool was cold. I was disappointed with the room. The air conditioner was leaking and the carpet was soaking wet next to the bed. I did find dust and the counters were not very clean after I wiped everything down with Clorox wipes. I was very disappointed in my experience.

Horrible beginning to our vacation
Reviewed By SquatchableWe booked this hotel because of its proximity to the airport and airport shuttle. We had a one-week trip planned, flying out of GRR. When I made the reservation, I called the hotel and asked about leaving a car while we were away, airport shuttle, etc. I was given information about the rates for parking in the hotel lot between stays and told that I would pay separately for that service when checking in - not in advance. When we arrived the evening before our flight, we were told that the hotel discontinues this service during the busier season and that they decided four days prior to discontinue parking passes. "Francesca" who was at the front desk and described herself as the General Manager was unsympathetic, unwilling to honor what we were told, and unwilling to assist in locating alternative accommodation/parking. She admitted that we were the third or fourth people with the same issue. Certainly the hotel can change its parking policy, but it should give advance notice to customers who have already booked and are counting on that service. The biggest problem was the hostility of the staff toward any suggestion that the hotel had made a mistake.
