Sound isolation could be improved but overall it was a very good stop during my trip to spain. Room with access to a back "garden" which made it very confortable for my 2 dogs travelling with me.

Unfortunately work in the morning got in the way, and making a wrong turn on the road meant that we would probably be too late for supper. However, the Manager called us and went out-of-her-way to have a Romantic Dinner for me and my wife prepared and waiting for us in our room. In 30years of countless business trips in hotels around the world, I never got such good service. Richard from Canada & Switzerland.

Reviewed By georggoetzelmannIn the outskirts of Valence, at Bourg de Valence the hotel Akena is located. If you know the Ibis hotels or similar, you will know what awaits you. Standard rooms with standard 3-stars amenities, out of the town,but near the Rhone and relatively quiet, this hotel is a good stopover on your trip from or to the south of France. Conveniently located from the Autoroute, with free private parking, no restaurant open at the moment, but two chain restaurants just nearby, it has offered the room to us for only 50€. Worth every penny for a night, but nothing more. Breakfast buffet available for 8 € per Person additionally.

Reviewed By RIGODSVery basic! The room was not clean. No airco and the fan made a lot of noice. The bed is composed of a thin foam mattress on a board, which is very unconfortable to sleep on. When we arrivedat 9.15 pm the reception was closed although the owner and his friend sat outside. We could only book a room at an automatic system outside. We tried to leave the parking and look for another place, but the fence closed automaticaly and we could only leave with a code that we got after booking a room. We felt like hostages!

Reviewed By Beemer535Part of our road trip through France included a one night stop over in Valence. This B&B was conveniently situated just on the outskirts of the town so if you have a car it is perfect. Room was fine and the bathroom had been recently redone and was excellent with a small strange thing. There was a bath but we were asked not to use it without an explanation. Afterwards we suspected there might have been a plumbing issue. However, the shower was fine and the breakfast was included in the very reasonable room rate. Parking was convenient and free.

Pour commencer, aucune signalisation pour indiquer l'hôtel qui est dans une zone quasiment déserte et très peu éclairée, on se sentait pas trop en sécurité après avoir tourné dans des rues étroites et non éclairées Chambre minuscule, sur la photo on voit l'espace entre le lit et le mur, juste la mesure de mon pied (je chausse du 38). Pas de chevet d'un côté, de l'autre juste une espèce de tablette ridicule .Rien pour poser les vêtements (pas de cintres, bien sur pas de tringle, pas de chaise). Une tablette sous la TV qui se rabat, sinon pas de place pour passer. Les sanitaires sont propres et il y a une cabine de douche et non pas un rideau, ce sont là les 2 seuls points positifs. Par contre pas de linges de toilette, pas de verre à dents. RIEN . Pas de télécommande pour la TV, A notre demande le réceptionniste qui est paumé nous en donne une ...mais d'une autre marque que la TV, donc ne fonctionne pas. Réceptionniste ne sait pas si on a déjà réglé la chambre ou pas avant notre arrivée, et malgré le règlement déjà fait nous passons 2Omn à l'accueil à le voir tapoter sur son ordi avant de nous donner notre chambre. Oreillers très mous, on a dû le plier en 2 pour trouver un minimum de confort. Quant à la climatisation signalée sur le site de l'hôtel, c'est simple il n'y en a pas
