AMAZING HOTEL

Like many travellers, this was our first holiday in over two years, so my husband and I were so looking forward to relaxing and enjoying excellent accommodation, fabulous food and high levels of service. We needn't have worried - the Arona Gran met all of our expectations - and more. The staff are truly amazing, and as a team work tirelessly to make everyone's holiday special. The hotel itself is outstanding; lots of little areas planted out quite ingeniously with some amazing foliage that is just so unexpected and only adds to the overall ambience of the space. Everywhere is spotlessly clean, whether you're by the pool, in the bar/club area or in your room - big thanks to the cleaning staff. Prior to arrival we had requested a "higher" floor and were given a room on the sixth floor which was delightful. There were even sun blinds on the balcony which could be lowered to shield a little of the late afternoon sun which was very useful. The food at the Arona Gean is simply wonderful. So much choice both at breakfast and evening meal (we were half board so cannot comment on lunch); both meals were served buffet style which suited us. There was always food freshly cooked by the chef, lots of lovely fish and different cuts of meat; to compliment the variety of food available, there was also a cavery available which again provided lots of delicious meat/chicken. Sorry I can't comment on vegetarian/vegan options but I didn't hear anyone complaining. We had lunch a couple of times at the pool bar, small choice but very acceptable and not overpriced. Entertainment staff work hard thought the day providing a variety of activities to occupy guests. We didn't participate ourselves but everyone seemed to be having a great time joining in the wide choice of things to do. In the evening there was a piano player early evening and then generally from around 8.30 there was a full programme of performers until about 10.30. We didn't watch every night, but the ones we did see were a bit hit and miss; The 80's Night was particularly good. The only improvement I would like to suggest would be new furniture on the balcony; ours had definately seen better days!!!! Thankyou to everyone at the Arona Gran, it's been amazing and we have already booked to come back in April 2023 for my birthday.

Reviewed By mumto4nI cannot fault this place one bit! The staff are incredibly helpful and are absolutely fantastic with the kids. The whole place is spotless and the beds are so comfortable! The pool area is lovely and has Astro turf and stops the kids from slipping brilliant idea in my opinion. 1st place we have 100% wanted to return to. The food is lovely and plenty of choice and each night is themed. It’s location is perfect and we have loved our stay. Huge thank you to Cathy who works front house in restaurant and Victor who works on reception, both of you have been so helpful. We look forward to returning

Reviewed By kingnbCheck in excellent and efficient, facilities etc were explained to us. Complimentary drink on arrival. Safe charge €10 but refundable at end of the week. Room excellent, air con good, excellent bathroom , comfy beds, tea/Coffee. Entertainment a bit mixed but more than adequate, not in your face. Hotel very clean, staff friendly, restaurant staff very efficient. Choice for breakfast amazing, evening meal again excellent choice of starters with fruit, salads, cheeses, soups, cold meats , fish. Normally one main fish or meat dish in the evening but always steak and fish available on the grills. Beers, wine and spirits very reasonably priced for a hotel ( you cant expect €1 beers and €2.50 wines like some of the cheaper bars). Rooms cleaned daily and towels and sheets changed daily if you asked. Overall an excellent week 23 - 30th May stay, would definitely go back

Reviewed By neil wA great resort. Friendly excellent staff and great food. The room was the best we have stayed in. No mad rush for sunbeds, various entertainments through the day and evening. We will be looking to return next year with the family. But for longer than this year!

Lovely,friendly ,helpful staff,large rooms in a modern style with a large,comfy double bed, in a spottless room. We were half board, and the food was among the best we've ever had! Everything is cooked fresh on the premises,and because it's a fairly small hotel there's no waiting or queuing. Low key but quality entertainment in the evening,singer,guitarist,sax player,all brilliant, and gives the restaurant a classy feel, Which made us stay in the restaurant long after we"d eaten! Special praise to Pascal and all the catering team. Pool area is lovely, with double sun beds, shades etc a jacuzzi and small gym..All staff friendly and helpful,especially Maria on reception. A cracking hotel, maybe the best we've ever stayed in. First class staff,food,rooms and location. Well done everyone at the Vanilla Garden.

Reviewed By lauraelizabeth2510Two couples between 25-31 - All Inclusive We absolutely loved this hotel! We could tell from the moment we walked in, we arrived at 11pm. The staff straight away greeted us with the loveliest welcome. They had put a little bit of a snack out for us. Then we were all handed a glass of pink champagne by Tomas. From that moment we just knew we were going to love it. The reception staff were lovely, making sure we knew everything we needed to know and even at that time they were still very cheerful. Rooms - We booked a standard room so was very surprised how spacious they were. The beds were big enough, lots of space. The balcony was a good size. Very clean rooms. Hairdryer in the bathroom, so don't need to take one. There were little kits in the bathroom which were good, as sometimes you forgot the obvious things ( razor&shaving cream, mending kit, shoe cleaner, toothbrush&toothpaste) as well as your obvious shampoo conditioners etc. If you need an iron you can collect from reception. Plenty of storage space in the rooms for clothes etc. Staff and Entertainment - All the staff couldnt do enough for everyone. ESPECIALLY Diego and Tomas! They really got to know everyone and you felt as if they really were your friends for the time you were there. They had different activities on every day at 3 different times and a real variation so everyone could be involved if you wanted. We even got a phonecall to the room from reception after a couple of days ensuring we had everything we needed and if they could be of any help.. There was some entertainment on every night. Cleaners kept rooms up to a good standard and a little chocolate each day for you. Location/Hotel- The location was in a good area , far enough from the nightlife that there wasn't music loudly all night but also close enough so you weren't walking for a long while if you wanted a night out of the hotel. Siam park was 5-10 minutes dependant on the route you take. Practically on the door step. A good few shops just outside the hotel and then not a massive walk to the bigger hotels. Beach a 10 minute walk, if that. Pools warm enough, small gym you can use SPACE with treatments if you like. Food - Plenty of options for all diet types and enough variation to change what you eat each night if needed and constantly stocked. The outside bar had things to make toasties throughout the day incase you get a little hungry between meal times free ice creams, lollies etc A hotel that is great for all age groups!! We were all gutted to be leaving and wish we could of stayed longer. We will 100% return in a heartbeat. Just an overall brilliant place to be. The staff obviously love their jobs and are trained very well. Please keep it up and dont change that friendly staff attitude and atmosphere!!!! We love Ole TROPICAL!!!!

Reviewed By ij31We have just stayed here for the second time after our first trip just over 3 years ago. What can i say? Superb! We originally thought of booking a different hotel for our holiday this time but in the end opted for P.Park after our very enjoyable first visit. Nice to see the Hotel still very clean, friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms. The restaurant has had a revamp since our last visit but the variety, quality and freshness of food still remains absolutely top notch. Pool area still clean and enough beds to go around with and easy accessible bar and food area with plenty of options. I do suggest you go all inclusive with regards to the food. The only downer in my opinion is the amount of options on the drinks if you are all inclusive, it was pretty poor but it all depends on preference. Also, it's brilliant that they offer the free mini bus down to the seafront and at regulars times (even thought you could walk down in less then 10mins). Would I stay here again? YES, without hesitation!
