Nice, clean and comfortable

Nice Hampton Inn quality for older property. Rooms seemed smaller than normal but quite efficient and all we needed for one night. Easy access to highway, a couple of restaurants and gas stations. Clean, quiet and comfortable with friendly staff.

Good, but paper-thin walls

Reviewed By SarahJane0488

Stayed here for one night during a road trip. New building with clean rooms and comfortable beds. Just off the interstate - watch for potholes on the local road, but the parking lot appears newly-paved and there were no issues. Shower was good and no issues with the pressure or temperature. Only disappointment was the paper-thin walls. After we first checked in, I immediately went back down to the desk to ask for another room as the family next door was very loud (it was about 3:30pm) and had a baby. My husband and I knew we would need to be in bed early to sleep before another early morning. I asked to be away from other guests if at all possible (it was Easter Sunday and the parking lot was mostly empty). We were moved to a room on the other side of the elevators, in the shorter “wing.” No issues with the move, but a couple of hours later another family came in next to us, again with a baby. I wish I could blame our discomfort on particularly loud and obnoxious guests (the first neighbors were, the second were not). We could hear what appeared to be their reasonable-volume conversations clear as day; when they would get animated or when the baby would cry, they might as well be in our room with us. We turned on the fan for the under-window a/c unit to drown out the noise, but were nevertheless awoken several times during the night by louder conversation, items dropped or banged, or a child crying. If you are looking for quiet, I strongly suggest begging and pleading with the front desk to be booked in a corner room to minimize your chances of having a loud neighbor, since you will hear anything they do anyway.

This isn't a five-star hotel but merits a solid 4 to 4.5 in its price range and category. Clean & comfortable. Obvious efforts to sanitize things. Breakfast limited but ok. Altho they couldn't find my reservation the owner had a room & set it for us at the price I reserved it for.

Good clean comfortable place to stay

Reviewed By Tyme4relaxing

Average hotel, clean and comfortable. Our room was quiet and we slept well. There are not a lot of restaurants at this location and there is a large truck stop off the exit ramp but it's 1/2 mile from this hotel so its not a noise problem. I would stay here again. Room was good size and had a split bathroom which is always a good feature. I also liked the fact that there was not carpet in the room.

A BiG FAT NOooooooo

Reviewed By ridjied2018

Passing through for the night and this was the worst. Although it was a non smoking room it reeked of smoke. There was no hot water. TV volume stayed low and could not get any higher... No bath towels in the room and when we asked we were given what looked like slightly bigger hand towels. The pillows were equivalent to throw pillows. There were weirdos hanging out in the parking lot outside of our window in a junkie car filled with large trash bags. The A.C. unit::: hot air all night. Worst night spent in a motel Ever!!!!

Bad elevator

Reviewed By themeeks1

The hotel was clean and modern, was pleased with exception of elevator experience. I’m 80 years old and had a room on the second floor. Only one elevator, which was out of order at checkout. Had to struggle with getting luggage down very narrow steep stairs. Very scary. Potential life threatening! Recommend any seniors get a downstairs room.

BLACK MOLD EVERYWHERE, Saggy walls, wavy warped doors, BUGS. See pics, worst experience ever.

Reviewed By ReviewsAndPics

At check-in, I was given room 130. I walk into the room tired with all my stuff and was greeted with a cloud of pot smoke. The bed was used and there were wet towels all over. Turns out, someone was IN THE BATHROOM as I walked in. Backed out slowly then went to the front desk. The lady gave me room 111 and said that this was a better room and that she thinks the employees were using the room to sneak people in for free and that it's happened before and that the owners don't do anything about it and are always gone. She also said that they weren't required to be up to the standards of a Days Inn (which was what it used to be.) So, I go into room 111 and the smell about knocked me over, then I saw BLACK MOLD all over the place, the tops AND bottoms of the doors were wavy warped from water damage, (how the??? was the whole place underwater before and they didn't replace wavy doors?? it gets worse..) The WALLS were wavy warped, too. The paint on the walls was saggy. HOW DOES PAINT SAG? THIS was supposed to be the BETTER room! The pictures on the walls were the same wavy way (these pictures on the walls weren't even of resale shop quality, not even of donation quality, they were junk that even a hoarder would toss just to get out of Earth's circulation and had drips of who knows what all down them) and mold was crawling all throughout the room. L@@K at the pictures I'm adding. I started to feel itchy. The three towels were so thin from wear and had dark spots. There was one washcloth, one other towel and not one for the shower. One half-roll of toilet paper on the thing, and no extra one. Everything about this was alarming. The mini fridge was rusted beyond belief. It's like they don't even try to make it look like they care! This rat trap is a shining example of what my parents would tell me to stay away from...
