Reviewed By julyashaaWe’ve stayed with my husband in Valkeisen loma for couple of nights in May and it was one of best places we’ve stayed at. Owners are really friendly, room looked cozy and modern, it was completely clean. There is a big territory, it was nice to go around for a walk, see animals, like sheep, horses and reindeers. We also had tasty breakfast, which had everything you need, like porridge, bread, cereal etc. After staying there, you have a feeling, that you really don’t want to leave this place and wish you could stay longer. It’s really peaceful and beautiful. We are definitely coming back here and we cannot wait for it! It was a great holiday trip indeed!

Reviewed By J11P33Old hotel, quite nice location, our room costs 170euros, and that was normal room, where was extra-bed for kids (small sofa) I know this hotel since 1980 century, and i think rooms was same condition, exp new bath... If You really wan lakewiew experience, ask room for 1.st floor Staff was good, breakfast basic, parking free.

Reviewed By elinaiidasofiaMother-daughter getaway to Vanha Pappila Hetki was perfect. The hotel staff is extremely friendly and the service is first class. We stayed in the Romance room with a view to lake. I recommend booking a sauna moment as well to crown a visit. Breakfast was really varied and we got to enjoy for example fresh buns and waffles. I'm happy to stay here again.

Nice farm accomodation

We stayed on the second floor of the main building and we had two bedrooms, a toilet and a shower room for us (weirdly enough, one evening other guest came to use our shower as they said that they didn't have one... I wasn't sure anymore if it was exclusively for us or not...). Rooms were clean as well as the other rooms. Downstairs there was a large public room with some toys for kids (and breakfast at mornings). Breakfast was really nice with many local products, some of them made at the site! In the garden there was a sand box and a trampoline which were greatly enjoyed by our kids. Oh, the sheep were great, too. We enjoyed our stay, but maybe the hostess could have smiled or talked a bit more. And they surely should move the HYVÖLÄ sign over the reception door - now almost every guest entered the house via the "wrong" door as they came to check in...

Paradise at Lake Ähtäri Finland
Reviewed By isotapaniHoliday trip 24.7-1.8.2021 Departure through Sastamala to Ahtari. Was deviated with the church of St. Olav. At Virrat were eaten with tasteless Rolls of hamburgers, french goodies. Honkiniemi was reached at 17.30. Breeding on the beach of Ähtärärvi. Breakfast was very good.. Cleaning OK, Sunday we went to nearby Ähtäri Zoo. Three hours walking In the middle of the day, animals were just lieing or sleeping. You should go in the evening time may be more movement. Pandas was seen and much more. lake water 20 -24 degrees . The sauna , was good and huge spacious. The hour paid 15 €. As a tranquil, for children a lot to do, a large area, a shallow beach. Nature beautiful place, lots of doing and all includes the room price. Paradise for the kids. Go there and you won’t be disappointed.

Reviewed By ninza1974Olimme kaksi yötä mieheni kanssa kohteessa. Kyseessä on opisto, joka on kesäkaudeksi muutettu hosteliksi. Huoneisto sisälsi neljä lukollista kahden hengen huonetta ja yhteiskäytössä olevat keittiön, olohuoneen, kaksi wc:tä sekä suihkun. Olimme siitä onnekaassa asemassa, että saimme koko huoneiston itsellemme, kun muita vieraita ei ollut. Rantasauna oli vuokrattavaissa erikseen 2h/30€. Mukava alue kävellä. Ähtärin keskustaan 3,6km ja Ähtärin eläinpustoon 5km. Kannattaa olla oma kulkuväline, taksi Ähtärin keskustaan maksaa 15-17€ vuorokaudenajasta riippuen. Voin suositella niin lapsiperheille tukikohdaksi kuin reppureissaajillekin. Huoneistossa on lakanat (lisämaksusta) sekä astiasto, mutta ei ruuanlaittovälineitä, kuten kattiloita ja pannuja. Mikroaaltouuni, kahvinkeitin ja liesi-uuni löytyy.

Mukava aitta
Reviewed By ToMiTuYövyimme aitoilla yhden yön. Piti olla kolme, mutta aitoissa on päivisin niin kuuma, että ei sinne voi koiraa jättää. Öisin taas on mukavan viileä. Jos on vilukissa, aitassa on kyllä vilttejä. Aitoilla on mukavan rauhallista ja kiva ruohopiha. Pihalla voi heittää kuuden reiän frisbeegolfia ja familygolfia. Eläintarhan portti on kiven heiton päässä. Suosittelen kohdetta sellaisille, jotka tarvitsee vain yöpaikan ja ei kaipaa muita mukavuuksia.

Nice apartments
Reviewed By flamedashWe stayed in one of the first floor apartments of the chalet. The apartment was very nice: bedroom, kitchen+living area, bathroom with sauna, patio with dining area and sofa. Everything was clean and the place looks quite new. Kitchen is well equipped - you have everything you need to cook your own meals. There is a TV and a speaker system with bluetooth. Wifi works well. Check-in is at the adjacten Mesikämmen hotel. The Ähtäri zoo is basically across the parking lot. Both have restaurants but for grocery shopping you need to go to the town center. Very nice option for a quiet weekend trip.
