10 Hostels hotel in Poznan: Best hotel deals for 2023

May 2, 2023 Marlin Saiz

Poznan was once the capital of Poland and is still the capital of the Wielkopolska region. Poznan lies midway between Berlin and Warsaw, which has helped make it an important town for centuries. Badly damaged in World War II, the city (especially its Old Town) has been beautifully restored. The huge Old Town Square (Stary Rynek) is one of Europe’s nicest, and is lined by fabulous historic attractions, restaurants and nightlife. The Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul is Poland’s oldest cathedral.

If you’re looking to stay somewhere that’s just about as plain as bread and butter...this is your place! No atmosphere (doors were knocked on if you made noise past 10pm). Smells a little. However very good location to all local tourist attractions and in very close proximity to restaurants and bars. Didn’t charge us for the towel (nice). Clean and tidy (both the room and communal bathroom.) Probably wouldn’t return as was looking for a lot more atmosphere as a group of friends. (Stayed in a 6 room dorm)

The bests things are the staff and the location which are superb . Beware that in July 2020 , there is no longer a restaurant or a bar, as stated still on some of the accommodation / hotel booking websites . Breakfast is ‘ basic’, but very fresh and good value for money . communal bathroom areas are a bit tatty , and ready for a refurb , but they are clean. If you want fresh fruit and more coffee , there is a JAbka across on Garbary st, together with cheap eateries . The old town square is around the corner. You will need to take a taxi or tram from the railway station or airport

Me and my partner stayed here for two nights and had a really good experience! The staff was friendly and the check-in went by very fast and easy. We had the deluxe twin room which was very nice and spacious. The bathroom was clean and the bed was very comfy. My only complain would have to be the fact that the walls are quite thin and while we were asleep, a tour group was leaving and we could hear someone banging on every door around us and them talking but other than that situation we did not have any issues. For the price we payed I personally believe it was a great deal and I would definitely come back there in the future.

Not as good as it looks

Reviewed By Marta P

The big advantage is location - very close to main old market. And that's it about pluses. Hostel entrance is stinky and dirty, with horrible mould smell. The apartment was clean, bath and WC not separated from the room at, even no curtain. No water, no tea set in the room, nothing. What is funny - no TV ( as for Cinema Apartments I found it very weird. Breakfasts are in the place based 500m from hostel - very basic. As for nearly 250eur for 2 night stay that was unacceptable. Staff - hard to say, Ukrainian lady at the reception very nice, but at check out we waited for the reception to be open at 11am but no-one ever came, no-one picked up the phone. Summing up - I would not recommend the place.

Great LGBTQ+ friendly place

Reviewed By Elencza

Super nice rooms, breakfast included, great and friendly service :) Really close (a 1 minute walk) to Old Town Square, lots of pubs, restaurants and museums. The rooms are clean, bright and comfortable. The bathrooms are shared. Atmosphere is relaxed and the fact that this is openly LGBT+ friendly place helps everybody to feel safe and at home. I really liked the style of this place combining XVIII century architecture with modern art, including NYC Stonewall mural. All in all it's a good, inexpensive place to stay when visiting Poznan.

No wifi in the room (2nd floor). They say it's a temporary problem, but I've stayed 5 days and nothing changed. I have read other reviews - same problem. So they are not solving it. - My pillowcase was dirty! (Dried snivell!!!) - Very inconvenient shower, hard to use. - No hairdryer in the room. - Extremely dirty under the bed and behind wardrobe (single room). -Cigarette smell that penetrates into the room - Cold in hallways -'Curtains' do not cover the whole window I don't consider location as a plus, cause there are other better options with higher rating for less price just next to this accommodation. PS. Google doesn't want to post my photo of this room behind the wardrobe with lots of dust.

Very good hostel at good price

Reviewed By phoenixmike11

Very good hostel at a good price (with some private rooms with shared bathroom). Bed was comfortable, wi-fi worked well, good (but not great) location near tram stop about 10 minute ride to downtown. Customer service at front desk was good, clean rooms and bathrooms and a clean kitchen with microwave to cook meals. There are grocery stores and restaurants nearby if needed. Negatives were no elevator/lift (I had to walk up to 4th floor), no air conditioning (which is common in Europe) since it was a very hot week when I was there and social atmosphere not great for meeting new people and travelers. Overall, a very good value for the money and a pretty good place to stay if visiting Poznan.

Poco Loco Hostel

We've traveled around the world taking the best of each visited country. A unique place was created from those amazing experiences – Poco Loco Hostel. It's a hostel founded by travelers for those who travel or always have dreamed of traveling. The only place in Poznań, even in entire Poland, where the whole world fits under one roof. You will find Poco Loco Hostel in a historic apartment house in the center of Poznań's Old City at a cult street of Taczaka. Just around the corner you can discover Poznań's underground clubs and restaurants, and as well the Old Brewery – officially the best shopping mall in the world! Poco Loco Hostel situated within walking distance from the Old Market, the railway station, the bus station and the Poznań International Fair. On the courtyard of our apartment house you can park a car. Frankly speaking, the localization is perfect for all globe trotters!

Nice hostel with a pleasant and inviting atmosphere

Reviewed By thomastolbol

Nice hostel with a pleasant and inviting atmosphere. The rooms are clean with very roomy lockers (big drawers under each bed). One thing that could be better is that not all beds have electrical outlets near them which can be a minor inconvenience if you need to charge your phone at night. However, the most important part for me is that the staff are friendly and they definitely get full points for that here. They are so nice that it almost feels like you are staying at a friend's place. I would definitely recommend this hostel.
