A must stop place if in Lititz. The tour is not very long (or expensive) but you learn about the history of Lititz as well as Moravians. Our guide ( a young, local woman) was outstanding. We were very luck to be the only 2 on the tour. They have a beautiful garden out back to also enjoy.

We visited here primarily because we were desperate to find activities in air conditioned buildings during an unbearable heat/humidity wave in the Lancaster, PA area, We were pleasantly surprised and delighted by the extensive collection of clocks and watches from all of the world and over several centuries. A nice docent came around prior to an 'on-the-hour' demonstration of a large clock influenced by pieces like the Glockenspiel in Munich. He was very informative and the demonstration was fun to watch. My brother, who is intellectually disabled, loved taking pictures of many of the clocks that held his interest... for him, that meant anything resembling a statue or with an American theme (flags, eagles, etc). We had fun and wandered through the galleries twice. They also have a nice gift shop.

The Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania is a must see when out in Lancaster County! It's also a great tour on a hot day in the summer! It's a fascinating walk through time and to think about these enormous beauties at the height of their popularity. My husband is a train enthusiast so I enjoyed my own personal tour guide! Across the road is the Strasburg Railroad where tour rides are are available but we ran out of time. Definitely will be worth a return trip!

The National Toy Train Museum boasts the best collection of model train sets!!! The museum is a great place to visit if you are fan of locomotives and a train set enthusiast. My wife and I had a fun time visiting this wonderful attraction!!!

A group of us were visiting Lancaster and are so glad we decided to stop in for a tour at the Amish Village on our last day. We chose the premium package and had two EXCELLENT tour guides on both the bus and house tours. They were super knowledgeable and able to answer all of our questions. It was awesome to learn more about the Amish community, see and pet some farm animals, and also get some souvenirs from the couple of gift shops that were available to us. Would recommend for all ages!!!

Historic Rock Ford was the home of Edward Hand and his family as well as enslaved and free servants and laborers. During the American Revolution, Edward Hand was Adjutant General to George Washington. Today, Historic Rock Ford is comprised of 33 acres at the southeastern edge of Lancaster City surrounded by Lancaster County Central Park. It offers guided tours of the elegantly furnished rooms of the circa 1794 Hand Mansion as well as the opportunity to visit the John J. Snyder, Jr. Gallery of Early Lancaster County Decorative Arts which is housed in a re-constructed 18th century bank barn. Historic Rock Ford offers visitors a peaceful enclave for lovers of history, art and nature just inside the boundaries of Lancaster City.

If you are a history buff the house and furnishings are fascinating. They have done an excellent job of restoration and have even left one room unrestored for comparison. The docent was very knowledgeable. We enjoyed our visit very much.
